It can't be seen by me in your pics, it is right below the led (with the heat sinks at the top. The led and buton are on the left side. Try puhing a component and it may feel like a switch. OR you don't really have that esc perhaps?

That can't possibly be the way that thing was made. That is broken, and that's probably why you can't find the button, and why it doesn't work right. You need to send that thing back.

It is broken, but the button should till be there under the broken case since there's no wires dangling and probably works just fine with a broken case. Most of times the case is merely an extension or touch pad for the actual button below. I'm not sure that is the button or if there is a button though.

The only type I've seen in an ESC are a round black button with a square metal casing about 3/6" wide. Either that or it would be a series of black lines in a circular shape approx 3/16" dia on the board. I don't see either in there, which could mean that the button was attached to the part of the case that is missing, or there is no reset button at all. But either way, broken is broken, and if it was purchased in that condition, it needs to be sent back.

Another thing that caught my eye in the third picture, is a black mark that appears to be a burn mark between the two transistors on the left side.

Looks an awful lot like a burn mark to me.

Since you have now broken it, that would void the warranty, so any chance you had to get a new one for the cost of shipping to send it back is out the window. Its gonna need a new one, and now you get to pay for it.

Ya it is a burn mark... i just chacked it out and it does look like a burn mark! So i guess there is nothing i can do about this car! Probably should buy a brand new one! Any suggestions on some good websites for electric rc trucks?

You can just replace the ESC if you want. Check out Ebay. They have some for 18 scale cars for as low as $25.

Hobby sites will always have the best RC cars/ trucks. Try Tower Hobbies, A main hobbies, Stormer Hobbies usually has some excellent deals on stuff, and they ship very fast. There are plenty of others too.

Yeah you can just replace the esc unless you just want a new car, btw did you check the side of the case? I know that some escs like for example the Novak XRS has the button it on the side and its the same color as the case

It looks like the ESC burned and someone ripped open the case to unsolder the two mosfets that burned. Did you buy it used?
