I have no idea who that was either. It did look like one of the very skilled early a..m. pilots though......

Of course it is. Did you bother to watch the video? And everybody knows who it is. So he thinks it is funny to flaunt the safety regulations, regardless of the time of day it was. Very mature.

I did watch the video. I've never, ever seen that guy at the basin. EVER! and I still don't think that looked like the basin. I Think it was someone trying to make a place LOOK like the basin. Clearly that wasn't it though.

Looks like they filmed it at the Basin. TV has a long history of portraying actors doing stupid things, I just hope that this does not embolden the knuckleheads out there to try the same thing.

OK from now on your new name is "Chicken Little" because as soon as I saw the episode (which was really funny btw) I new you'd be on here saying how this will bring down the entire hobby. I am just surprised you didn't include a tie-in to the government trying to ban all forms of RC flying.

Rarebear is the new Crazy Eric! Actually I think the rules don't take effect until after 6 a.m. so Paul can pretty much do as he pleases. I may be wrong in which case you guys should have the authorities at the Basin make him follow the rules like everybody else does. Then again since the place was deserted who really gives a rat's a$$?

OK, I changed it:

Looks like they filmed it at the Basin. Not a very factual portrayal of our hobby, but still good to see R/C on TV.

Does that make you happy now??

Be careful, not being amused by flagrant disregard for safety rules and other bonehead acts will get you labeled with a bad name by the regulars there.

Oddly I tried this defense when I blew through a stop light at 100 mph at 3 in the morning. DIdn't seem to matter. But then again, I am a Chicken little who can find the bad in any kind of good clean fun.

Was there any fixed-wing sport flying this morning? Since, I was wondering about stopping by for a flight or two on Sun AM.

Just got back from the electric flyin and all I can say is "wow". I saw guys flying planes out of the pits, people taking off from the taxiways and flying behind pilots on the flight line on the midfield area. The guy flying out of the pits was buzzing the pits as well. Who was the contest director on this one?
