There are a few better places to fly than the basin. There are great fields in Slymar and Duarte. Also a decent field in Glendale where you have to deal with a dirt runnway and fly left and land right. All of these choices are far better than the basin.

Geeze Jsesere, stop your WHINNING about Sepulveda Basin. If you don t like the place then go fly somewheres else,,,

BTW, a good pilot can fly and land in any direction and from the tone of your posts,,, you need more practice

I spent most of the day at The Basin today. Had a good time. Hung out with a bunch of my flyin' buddies, got in a few flights (under frequency control),saw some funny stuff, etc. Generally had a good time.......

Dave,
You left before four jets were flying at the same time, that's always fun to watch. It was a well run event and I finally got to go out by myself and fly the new Spad. Maybe I just scared everyone else into staying down till I was done.

Hey Bill, I saw Barry fly a funfly plane that also goes to the right! Just in case someone said he could't do it.

Jsesere, If by Duarte your referring to Whittier Narrows then yes that is an excellent field and I fly there often. I have seen all the "problems" you spoke of at the Basin exhibited at Whittier. The other two fields are private and I enjoy the action of the public fields, just my preference.

What a Good Day of flying on Sat.
Did landing's all day with My Ultra Stick.
The Jet Boy's were out also in force with 4 planes.
All of them flying their standard Flight Plan.
That would be;
Take Off, Go Vertigical into huge loop over run way;
Looping back down to Fly back down run way at full speed.
Flying left to right, high speed pass down run way backing
right just slightly to show the top,one time, two time, three time
landing out of fuel.
The Overpowered Combat Squadron Boy's were out too.
While flying Their follow me Boy,s pattern, one flew too low into
the run way, had to ditch it into the tall brush about three
hundred yards out, almost like in the movies.
Yes it was a good dat.

Hi all, I just moved to the long beach ca area and I'm looking for a club to hook up with. I fly .60 to .90 size aircraft and I'm not afraid to bounce them in on landing. Thanks
