Hi Joe,

Thanks for checking. The boiled dogs are still better than the catering truck. Will be there to watch the activities.

I down loaded an application to join the Giant Scale group. Instead of mailing should I bring it to the event.

Thanks again,

Gary

Joe,
Do you have to be a member to fly at the event or just pay a landing fee?

No, you can just come and pay the landing fee and show your AMA card and your gold. It should be a great time. I'll be there at noon. Your welcome LMP, just come to the fly in and introduce your self to Joe the membership secretary. They are the best bunch of guys I have come across. I gotta get some things done because I'm going to AZ in the AM to pick up a GS plane to replace Patty!~(

Hey Basin,
Slow Quickie isn't that like a Oxie Moron like Jumbo Shrimp?

Why do you have to call me a shrimp!? Vertically challenged I prefer!
How could I possibly get ready for this,
Nov. 2 Aerobatics Pre-Basic & Basic (Whittier) ?
Sounds cool!

Well, time for a little Basin update!

DJ is back with a new Extra and Magnum 1.80 that's "more powerful than a MOKI" his words not mine. It didn't want to run and I thought it was like one of the toys in "Toy Story" that saw all it's friends come home in pieces and didn't want the same fate.

Crazy Eric is presumed vacationing in Florida and has not been seen at the field lately. How bout it Florida people has a guy been terrorizing the flight line with 130mph+ inverted passes over the pits with a Dago Red at your local field?

Jason buzzed the field with his Pitts. It's a 100% scale Pitts which is four times the size of a 1/4 scale Pitts if you can imagine that!

Joe Keli drove to Arizona and fell in love. Not with the girl but the plane she sold him. Joe won't be testing positive for Coke since the plane is done in the Pepsi logo.

The warbird guys have been noticably absent but I havn't heard anyone complain, now if we could get the jet guys to join them we'd have it made!

That's all for now...anyone have anything to add?

Hi Bucketbottom,

I presume Ron's still modifying his modified Pizazz's with the runway still?

Was I there with my Venus or Extra? Things are a bit hazy in this heat. I'll soon have the Edge 540 finished with - - my brand new YS 110 (phew!)

And how about your li'l Patti?

If any of you So. Cal. fliers want an uncrowded place to fly, come on up to Lone Pine for a week-end. We have a nice big dry lake, and the old airstrip at Manzanar. It is hot
