Conversion still in progress. After removal of sender pcb power pcb has been removed too. Then left and right stick holders have been removed . Now it is time to interchange throttle and elevator trim and pot . Before the installation we have to change the cables too.

Logically it is imposibble that the trims are working as before if you have really interchange the cables. Trims on the display will remain same as before. Never mind it.

Have a silly question. Wouldn't it have been easier just to switch the rudder and aileron servo connections at the receiver?

Simply can not be done . Since this is sophisticated transmitter mix functions will not work. Moreover throttle and elevator trims work different .Throttle trim is only actived when the stick below the middle point .

Dear Caffinatedbear

As you can see below 4 cables should be cut and resoldered for each channel . In other words 4 cables for elevator , 4 cables for throttle.

Can you explain a bit more about the trim working after this conversion. You say that trims on the display will remain as before. so I just set up the trims properly looking at the mechanics of the heli and never mind the display? . Thanks

After conversion trims work properly. With the conversion , only the polarity of the trims and sticks have been changed. No problem at all If you do not take care the trims on the display.
