budlight mousse can mufflers
made these last summer. look 's like pepsi getting in on some r/c action also. i gained about 1000 rpm on my motors ranging from a .50 - 1.20 size and they are much quieter than stock muffler . J-B weld kwik works awsum . the fx .91 in the yak puts a saito 1.00 to shame .

the opening on the cap end of the bottle is 13/16". macs heada pipe for the fx.91 and 1.20 ax is 7/8". it needs to be opened up 1/16 . it's a peice 7/8 alum. pipe with 4 cuts at the end acouple of inches long.it worked awsum . i push the header pipe into the bottle 3/4" . awsum to see Mt.dew in on some r/c action .

I think the large volume of the can coupled with the small diameter of the header didn't work well on my .42 but the throttle response was awesome. And the sound.

Is it safe to assume that the stinger (exhaust) barely projects into the can? Bascially that there is minimal internal piping within the can?

RE: budlight mousse can mufflers
for different motors, i have a bunches of 2 st motors form .55 -1.20 .the .55 uses a 1/4" stinger tube , the 1.20 uses a 5/16 stinger tube . i make all my budlight mousse cans with a 5/16" stinger tube and sleve down the stinger tube for the size of motor i'am going to use . a universal mousse can . you need a 9/32 " sleve to reduce from 5/16" down to 1/4" .

i flare the end of the stinger tube and pass it in through the mouth end of the bottle with a 4-40 rod , JB weld it in from the inside and then the outside . never had one loosen up .
