Just wanted to give everyone an update...

1. We are currently having the hand drawn originals vectored into CAD format so we can have laser cut short kits made and you will get the same size plan every time..

2. We have a fiberglass guy lined up and are going to pick up the fuselage mold next weekend from Doss.

Will keep you posted as more develops....

Hi All

The Boeing Company who owns all the North American designs now, has the original drawings available to the general public. For a small charge now.

I ordered the drawings for the F/A 18 Super Hornet. After 6 months I received a 1" thick envelope with the fuse loftings, cockpit detail, landing gear detail. Even the smallest specific detail was on these sheets. Way more info that a modeler would need.

Now, this was all before 9/11 attacks, so I'm not sure if thier so generous these days. I'll let you guys know though, I've requested the P-51D drawings and the AT6. This was around 10 months ago. still waiting.

Steve

Steve,
Where can you get the forms to order these plans? Can you order them online?
Thanks
Matt

Bob,

Nothing major to report. Our glass guy has the molds. The hand drawn plans are being vectored so we can have a short kit laser cut and the plans we ship will be consistant. Nothing will be avalible until next year sometime.

Will keep you guys posted as new info is avalible.

Hmph, they changed this frickin' forum at some point so you can't change the subject anymore when replying. I'm just posting this to change the subject back to the more pertinent original subject, albeit misspelled. Please reply to this posting rather than directly to one of the previous "Gear Drawings" ones, and keep us on course.

I "stumbled" onto a Doss Stead Mustang......Its a great kit but a bit large for me. I wish to sell it . The buyer will need to pay shipping. The 6 pages of plans are also included. It is in two very large boxes. Shipping wil be to U.S. Only. If interested send an e-mail to <prescorp@xtn.net> or call 423-638-6275.......I'm sure Lenny would love to make the gear for it. The kit is not assembled and in Mint condition.

I would love to build the gear, too! All I need is a copy of the gear drawings. I'm sure it is same or close to what I built before using some of Doss' components. Lee

Hi Doug; That would be just great! No need to send by "high priced" methods! I find things get to me in 3-5 days from almost anywhere in USA, and have gotten stuff from Canada in 3-4 days! I was at grocery while Kay was bowling in her early a.m. league! Lee

Alright, you guys are all scumbags for ignoring me. Go ahead, make the subject confusing!

P-47, I just let it pass because I figured two kits is enough for any one person...

In thinking about it, I realize that for just a moment when I saw the posting with that kit for sale, just for a second, I thought to myself "wow, I gotta buy that!". Am I a sick puppy, or what??

Still progressing along.

Like I said in an earler post... THIS IS NOT MY FULL TIME JOB (unfortunately)

Will update you as soon as there is something to update you with. As I stated earlier it will be this year sometime. I'm not going to commit to a date for obvious reasons stated above.

Thanks,
Mike
