16 Versions? How the hell will i be able to figure out which one I want. Does the EASY 8 fall into this catagory. I dont know if the VVSS was correct for it. I like the long gun versions. Does anybody know?

You answered your own question.

The "Easy Eight" is in reference to the HVSS with a Ford V-8, which is what the Tamiya Sherman suspension is.

YOOHOO!!! ALLIED ARMOUR IS HERE!

The details are fantastic, hope it drives well like the bulldog.

Swath, would a Welded Hull be in the pipeline very soon?

Love these tanks.

Shoot! I didn't catch that before! Well, what fun would the tank be if you didn't have anything to correct?

The E8 designation applied to any Sherman equipped or retrofitted with the HVSS suspension.

There has been consideration to releasing an E9 kit. This has spacers for the idler, bogies and sprockets to move them further away from the hull so EECs can be used on both sides of the track for increased flotation. Some late war M36B2s had them and lots of shermans were upgraded to this after the war and can be seen on monument tanks around the country (USA).

Very true! It looks fantastic nonetheless. I can't wait to make a Lafayette G. Pool Sherman!

Lafayette G. Pool Sherman!

His was my inspiration! If you're rivet counting, besides the usual accuracy tweaks, the armored cover for the rear blower will have to be removed and the mount for the .50cal extended. I included the armored cover because we're going to reuse the turret for the other 76mm Shermans later. There were probably some with armored covers used in Operation Cobra, these were the tanks produced in January-February '44 and left sitting around in England since April because they didn't want to burden logistics with another ammo type. That is, until they met the Panther tanks! Then they couldn't get them fast enough!

Hey swath,

With some modification, it looks like the turret already has the correct hatches for the SuperPershing!!! Now I would not want a Sherman just for that, but they are bound to sell turrets alone at some point and adding the right hatch for the Super P was the only thing that puzzeled me about that build!

I checked my photos and that is an assembly error. The tank was made with both hatches.

Besides the periscopes, what about the alignment of the split hatches? Is it supposed to be aligned at a certain angle?

It sure does, I was adamant about that! The TCs cupola is glued but can also be repositioned. I've seen more then a few Shermans who's TCs reoriented their hatch to open to the rear rather then the side.

Well that's an unexpected pleasant surprise. It would give each Shermans a little more deviations if those hatches can be repositioned.

Both IR and Airsoft, and I believe that they are designing the IR to be Tamiya, EL MOD, and DBC compatible!

A Tamiya-compatible system would really make a HUGE difference in their sales. Say triplicate them or more.
