Hey Tom,
So far, I found at least 20 yards of fabric at $14.99 a yard. We are trying to get a discount on it. I'll follow up with you Sunday evening and let you know what kind of deal I can get if any.
Paul

peckergnatflyer -> RE: Half Scale Fokker DVI (3/14/2009 1:03 AM)

We've got a couple of pics with green paint on the airframe and the subwing is complete. The tires are color correct, gray paint. The turtle deck is on.
On our Sunday build, we plan to have the side cheeks, hood, elevator and rudder completed. Glenn is sending us our wing plans on Monday... perfect timing because we've gone as far as we can without the wings and struts.[sm=biggrin.gif]
Check back on Sunday evening to see our progress![:D]

Barry said "no problem, for my old drinking buddy!" Since you have some skills (LOL) Take your 3/8 collar, remove the allen, drill the hole for the size cotter pin you are going to use. Take a over size washer and tack weld it behind the collar. Get some two part epoxy PUTTY , its like "play dough", Mix a small amount and roll it into a rope, wrap it around the side of the collar and washer. use you finger to conform a concave look and then use the end of a exacto knife handle to make the impressions of a flawless weld job![sm=47_47.gif] Please dont pass this on to anyone else , its kinda Barrys secret and he will bring that darn lawyer back[:@] Enjoy, Paul

Hey Tom,
That is one pretty cool 1/2 scale full body WW1 German pilot! huh? Well when I got all the 1/2 scale parts off of Glenn he said he got this pilot many years ago and he said he was saving it for himself for his 1/2 scale DR1 but he said I could have it since I will have the D6 done way before his plane. Sorry ole buddy[sm=72_72.gif]

Just kidding............It came from AH Designs, The pilot people, it COST 82.50 pound(GPD), it took about three weeks to get[:D]

Long time no talk, I hope all is well. It was good to meet u at the Southern. I hope your keeping Mike C. in line with his Halbie. We're waiting on wing ribs at the moment, and forging ahead with all the detail goodies that seem to eat alot of time, guns, dummy engine etc. I hope to see u at one of the events this year. Keep in touch.

Barry

Glenn sent us the top wing plans before he left and Holy Cow are they big!!! The fuse is NOTHING in size compared to the top wing!! I will try to post a pic of the wing plan with a reference to show you the size we are talking about....Paul
