I bought some of these batteries in AA 1200 mah that were for I think cell phones. They came in a plastic case and had solder tabs and was spot welded to make a flat pack of 4.8v. I took it out of the case and have used some of them for other appliations.

The inevitable question......... Would it be "bad" to use these for R/C?

IMO, the only batteries either NICAD or NIMH to use for R/C is SANYO. They have never failed me yet. Go the the Radical RC web site and read Dave Thacker's opinion of non Sanyo cells.
