The Aurora is built in Korea.

Charge jack is unique as the system uses only 7.2/7.4v to power it.

Mike.

so, one would have to surmise that with your mention of 7.4V power, that it would be ok to use a 2-cell LiPo pack with it, right?

Correct... 2S Lipo capable w/ adjustable cut off for protection.

FYI: Here's a shot of the new RX battery voltage indication built in.

is the "5.5" in the battery symbol the cutoff voltage, and the 7.1 the measured voltage?

5.5 was the real time RX battery voltage (4 cell) and 7.1 was the current TX battery voltage.

Mike Mayberry said that the Aurora 9 would be available in late August. See message #99 in this thread.

As a note, I saw an advertisement in one RC flying magazine that said there would be a coupon in the Aurora boxes for a free 7 channel receiver - limited time offer.

For the first time we have a specific date of August 14th for their arrival in our USA facility. They will then go through a 100% QC (as with all new products) and then will ship to the dealer/distributors, so late August is accurate.

Note we are offering a coupon with the Aurora for an additional 7CH RX for free, and I was recently told the coupon will also offer the option for another additional 7CH RX for $39.99.

So... for $469.98 you can get an Aurora 9 with (3) 7Ch receivers!

Hey Mike,

That is a really good deal - especially for me since I don't really need 7 channels at the moment (6 is the max I have now).

Hope the shipping isn't too much.

John

Is it possible to get rid of the cable in the back and maybe to buy an antenna without that cable?
What do I need that additional module for if not for 72 MHz receivers?

Thanks
Alex

There will be a 2.4Ghz module available with the antenna coming out the back of it in the near future. To use 72Mhz you will need the Spectra Pro module.

Unfortunately the radios are not here yet... I don't know what the hold up is. I'll post more info when I get it.

Mike.
