I am here ot ask a stupid question

Are you saying that the MCX Radio will eat up the batteries quicker or what? I don't get it

No, I think it is a frame rate issue. While battery life will be what it is, your controller sends out signals that are measured in frame-rate. The faster your frame-rate the better control you have over your model. What I have discovered is better overall control, via the DSM2 module. My stock MCX tx will fly my heli just fine, but I am not able to be as precise as when I am using the Eclipse. This is one of the stated reasons from HH to not use the MCX/Vapor controller. I have discovered for myself, that the people at HH were correct, they stated that the length of the gimbal was inadequate, and I agree after using the Module.

I hope I am making some sense, the dsm2 module has definitely improved the performance of the MCX, and if the wind will quit I can try the Vapor. I cannot make it clearer than this, HH is correct, you want a solid dsm2 platform for the plane. I hope that makes sense. I am very interested in DSM2 now.

Are you guys positive that the PZ brick that comes in the new SU-26 has a channel open, that a BRUSHLESS ESC will plug into, I was going to order the Little gidget ffrom BSDmicrorc.com that turns the throttle output into a servo output, more or less. It was a PPM or somthing, then you can put a BL ESC on a Vapor or Citabria or what have you. If PZ did include a output for this reason "Kick ass" they are on the right track, I have seen the Videos for the Raptor GS, and, with its power setup, as it comes It appears to be more my style, But if the PZ can have a plugin BL and ESC. For the Thirty five bucks that they want, At 2dogrc.com?, for the same power setup as in the GS Raptor, I will give It a shot when they are availiable. If I am out to lunch on this Someone Please let me know or others know so they don't make the same mistake as I am going to.. The ESC at 2DOGRC.com motor combo, Is for one Cell LI-po only with the extra weight of th ESC and motor should A person step up to a 2 Cell system, same as The GS Raptor W/ DSM2 receiver that they recomend????

Yes, we have set-up the AR6400 to support brushless ESCs from the start, even though we don't currently have any plans for our own brushless setup (we're getting excellent, AFFORDABLE performance with our current brushed motors). There are three wires in the motor port, two will be used for the standard brushed motor, and three will be required for a brushless ESC.

David, my hat is off to you guys

lol I am glad to hear about the stock performance being "EXCELLENT". This is going to be a great plane and I can't wait.
The weather is getting nicer here. Can you give us a very rough guess when they might start shipping? Don't worry, I won't hold you to it

PS, I am enjoying my Vapor, Ember, Cessna and Citabria very much. They are actually the reason I got back into planes.
Check out my mods to my Cessna. I have also done this to my Citabria. They are twice as fast as stock.

Thanks for that info, I too can't wait for this little baby to hit the shelves up here in canada. will the BL esc plug in or have to be sodered in, I have not seen a vid of it doing any vertical climb outs from slow high alfa, I know my Vapor will climb straight up a stair well in my house, on the stock power setup, Will the sukhoi 26, Hang on the prop, or have the same power preformance as the 206 and Citabria

Since the Vapor we have switched to using a plug for the motor. With the Sukhoi, the difference is the plug has 3 wires instead of 2. So, either plug in a brushed motor with 2 wires, or plug a brushless ESC with 3 wires into the same port.

We are not promoting the Sukhoi as a full-up 3D airplane, only as a highly aerobatic model. It does have a lot more power than the 206 or the Citabria. In the right hands, it is capable of some 3D maneuvers like rolling harriers.

Thanks again, I was hoping , like everyone else for a 3d ship. And just like the Citabria and 206, they were new and they did what was expected, worked well, and nice standoff scale looks. the Su 26 is truly a step in the right direction.

I was drooling about the Kyosho 4 channel when anounced last year..... but this..... this just takes the cake. Its on my MUST HAVE list since I absolutely love the Citabria, and at 100 bux I can use my Dx6i.... hellllzzzzz yess !
