webskipper,
Thanks. I have downloaded the 1M info and it does help. Not having ever sailed a boat, model or full size, the rigging sans instructions was hard. Think I've got a clue now. Thanks again.

Since I haven't finish the last touches on review yet, I will post some rigging pictures tonight. They should explain everything. This boat isn't rigged like most IOM boats. Most IOM boats I have seen use a double arm, but the Exclusive is setup for a single arm, which works well, in my opinion.

In Wr54097.jpg, you can see the line to main sail. It goes through the block at the front, through the hook on the side, through the loop on the cockpit cover, through the ring on the mail boom, and then attaches to the hook at the end of the boom.

The luft sail (fore) line also comes out the same brass exit hole, but it goes through the near block, and directly to the adjustable slide on the boom. (Vt58068.jpg)

In the final shot, you can see the large single and servo. It has more than enough strength, speed, and throw to handle both sails. The differential for the sails is handled by putting the line for the luft sail on the outside hole (not shown) and the main sail line on the inside hole.

Do you know how to configure the standing rigging?

Dave

In anybody is wondering this boat is designed for the F5E class sailed in the Former Eastern Bloc countries. It's kind of a cousin to the IOM class but some differences exist.

I was in San Antonio last weekend racing IOM's at Woodlawn. Too bad I didn't see this post earlier.

In several European countries, this boat is sailed with and against IOM boats.

I had planned to go and take pictures at Woodlawn and perhaps sail, but I am back in school and I had two take-home mid-terms and homework.

I have more pictures and information coming soon. Do you have this boat too?
