Seems like swapping the G38 for the G45 could have introduced two changes to deal with. More power from the G45 means a faster airplane, and the heavier G45 would have moved the CG forward. Moving the CG forward would have increased the slope of the static stability curve, requiring more trim authority. More speed would have magnified the effect.

All full scale airplanes with positive static stability require retrimming with airspeed changes, and very stable airplanes require large trim tab changes in flight. Ed's comment about requiring nearly full down trim at full throttle and almost running out of up elevator on landing is what I would expect from a very stable full scale airplane.

Might want to check the CG and move it to the rear a little at a time to see if the trim requirements reduce with aft CG movement.

Well, Rick sold his two war birds. The P-47 was still a handful. I think it acted as if it was tail heavy. He is now working on a Zirolli B-25 and the YA A6M5b. Will send pics when finished.

I just bought a YA P-47 and wanted to know your thoughts on an engine. I noticed you had used a Moki 2.1, What are your thoughts? I have one sitting around, but have also been looking at a Brison 3.2 gas. If I go gas it will be my first time.

Also wanted to know how do you rought the servo wire and tubing for retracts in the wings? See the incompleat channels. Have been flying for some time but this is my first build other then ARF( not really building I know ha ha...)

Thanks,
Gavin Meek
