Recently upgraded my raptor to brushless......original esc fried.....now have both 30 and 40 amp units...however both get warm when running with the brushless setup....is this normal?

I would say yes it will get a little warm, but not hot.

Yes it's normal because main blades put stress on motor. Yes warm is ok but not hot.
