Mike,

I'm very confused by conflicts in the Eclipse 7 manual regarding gyro gain control. Here's the list of conflicts:

1. On page 7, the mode 2 diagram says that the "gear switch" controls PMIX-1, and the Channel 7 switch controls gyro mode.

2. On page 8, the channel assignment chart for HELI mode says that channel 5 is gyro sensitivity, and channel 7 is "optional - controlled by gear switch".

3. On page 39, in section 1. the channels are assigned as channel 5 = gyro, channel 7 = Aux or heading hold control.

4. On page 41, section 21 says that the gyro must be plugged into channel 6.

5. On page 42, the section titled "Gyro Settings" it claims that gyro settings control the output of channel 7.

Since all of these cannot be correct, I need to know what the truth is.

Thanks in advance,

We are actually in the process of writting an adendum to the manual because the some of the Heli programming is hard to understand or simply not correct. However, the gentleman writting this is in Germany visiting Multiplex and will not be back until next week. We plan to post this info on our website and include it with the radios in the near future. I am sorry as I an not a heli pilot and and not familiar with all the programming.

Mike.

To answer some of your questions

1.The gear switch controls the PMIX-1 and 2

2.Channel 7 ATV is gyro Gain and the switch is for HH on or off ( if your Gyro has this feature
like the GY401 )

3.Channel 5 is for a non remote Gyro

4.Gyro into channel 6 is a TYPO should be CH 7
or CH 5 for a non remote Gyro

5.TYPO again. The channel 7 ATV controls the gyro setting / Gain for a remote Gyro

Hope this helps

Fred..

Thanks for the info. It would have been nice to get it from
the manual. And, yes, it helps. I'm using a Telebee dual
mode HH gyro, so I'll end up using channel 7.

Mike,

It has been a month since you sent this reply. Is there any progress on the addendum?
