Any time you change fuels you need to retune and you also may need to add a shim to the head when going to 30%

When going to higher nitro content the engine will start to pre detonate which will distroy your engine. Adding a shim will slightly lower compression and prevent predetonation. Alot of BB engines come with several shims installed so you can run 30% from the start and when lowering content you remove shims.

I have the stock engine because it runs pretty strong. When it craps out I will install the lrp 18.

not sure what you mean by 1/8 size wheels on the Mini MGT, it uses 14 mms hexs now but you can add the hex adpters to run the 17mm hexs, the tire the mini MGT uses are max size tires already. i did some gent had put a big bore engine in the mini mgt and ran some kind of bigger tires to.

just looked up the rims and tires you were posting about and YES they will work but you need the 17 mm hexs adpters to use the tires and rim. and yepster they will look good on the MINI MGT to. show some pics with them on if you get them

firstly jermainezy that is a sweet truck

my engine is stock but i am not too worried about speed so may but in lower gearing are there any benefits or drawbacks to putting on larger wheels/tyres (ie for 1/8 monster truck) i need to be aware of? I assumed they would increase ground clearance and help with absorbing bumps plus look damn cool but what do you think? what are your thought on offset whells?

also what are the best hopups to fit into it appart from bigger engine? anyone got pics and suggest any

I have had a look at integy parts but noticed in forums that they are not well made is that true?

will post picks if i get tyres or upgrade currently bit pointless as stock lol

well you asked for thoughts.... i think adding a big block engine is over kill. mine is stock and runs like a beaten dog and dose wheelies all over the place, but to each there own to. i just like to leave well enogh alone is all.
i did have some full off set rims and tire on a different MINI MGT and that worked very well to.

engine is off hobbypartz.com but also others including one for $39 cant remember name of site just google engine.

your thoughts scott are very welcome, i am inclined to agree with you I am not sue if could the truck handle it. but at $39 it does seem tempting overkill or not do you think the chassis and drivetrain would survive or would it be literaly Overkill!! if it could survive gearing could be an issue inclined to get as low as possible on that idea could i use gear sets from other truck manufacturers to get better hopup parts as not many i can find for mini mgt?

wish I knew anyone else got big block engine higher than .21 your thoughts as always welcome
