i did just rember that some gent had put a big block engine in the MINI MGT but he did add some Losi 420 size tires to make the gear change so the big engine could handle the bigger engine on the drive train.

iam thinking if you had put tires that are the size as say the AE Monster GT it would not wheelie as easy but iam just kinda guessing here.

I got my mmgt3 in August 09 and I have chewed up the front diff gears once and the rear diff gears 3 times and I'm tired of replacing them. I have only ran the truck 6or 7 times since I got it and I am having the worst time trying not to chew up these gears and I don't even run it that hard. Can anyone help with my situation, I really like the truck and the engine runs great, I have a few gas guzzlers and I want to use this truck for when I'm low on fuel and $$$. Does anyone know of an upgrade kit for the diff gears? Is anyone having the same or simular problem? Please help!

I just dropped a Hot Bodies .26 into mine.   Just had to drill the holes in the chassis.  Only could fit three, used red locktite.   Run about a gallon so far with great power and no problems

Just curious does anyone know of a good Dual Exhasust system on the MMGT 3.0 and where I might be able to find the Engine upgrade kits? I am getting ready to rebuild my MMGT since I pretty much totaled mine. So I want to do all metal bigger tires and think a stronger motor.. Thanks in advace.

Ironman92, it sounds to me like you're not shimming the diffs properly. If you have everything setup properly the diffs should only go out rarely.

I have the same problem. I put four spider gears in the diff instead of two, you have to notch the shaft so both sit at the same level but it makes it a locked diff. works great but if you do too many dounuts your hub cuppler will blow out. looking for a steal upgrade now. Good luck.

Hey im picking up a mini mgt 3.0 this friday and i was wondering if there are any LARGE downsides that i should know about? And what upgrades should be bought for light bashing like small jumps and the occasional roll. One other question how hard is it to wheelie this truck?
