Hi guys. I was out toying with my T-Maxx 3.3 4909 and had a crash. I'm pretty new to the nitro hobby but have had other electric trucks, nothing with even close to the speed of the T-Maxx 3.3. Well I was running it in the street and lost control and hit a garbage can. I cracked the bulkhead, lower suspension arm, and the steering drag link. Also bent the two shock shafts. (see attached pictures).

I'm thinking about rebuilding the front end with Integy alloy parts, but wanted to get some help first. Would it be beneficial for me to replace the front end with these more expensive alloy parts or just buy the cheaper plastic? Below are the parts I'm thinking about getting.

INTT3678B - Integy HD Alum Front Lower Suspension Arms
INTT3677B - Integy HD Alum Upper Suspension Arms
INTT3681B - Integy HD 7075 Blue Aluminum Front Bulkhead
INTT3714S - Integy Alum Steering Bell Crank
3762A - Traxxas Ultra Shocks (Grey)

NO INTEGY!!!!
I strongly suggest RPM arms and big bore shocks. Integy aluminum is not strong at all and many people have had complaints about their products. Rpm arms are extremely strong and carry a lifetime warrenty. Big bore shocks are not necessary but are a nice upgrade from the stock shocks. Here are the RPm arms... http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXMZT3&P=ML

As for bulkheads you could replace them with a plastic one or you can buy some quality aluminum bulks from GARC, FLM, DACE etc.

BTW: nice carnage

also a little piece of advice, ordering directly from the manufacturer is usually more expensive than ordering from an online hobby shop such as...

and

I Agree with cmerritt. NO INTEGY!!! Unless you get them for free. I would go with RPM arms. Fastlane machine bulkheads. Ebay Is a good place to look for upgrades. RPM also makes shock towers as well.
That was a good crash. You F*****D the front up pretty good. That's the Fun rebuild it better and better. Good luck keep us updated.

P.S
Good online Hobby stores are Hobby People & Amain Hobbies.

similar to Integy. My advice is do it right the first time. Quality parts may be more expensive but you won't have to keep replacing them like cheaper/weaker parts.

I just built a Intergy T-Maxx and it is coming out great. Sure the parts are not lifetime warranty but the look nice and fit well. I have a feeling the are alot stronger then stock. I don't plan on launching buildings just small jumps and crashes. Integy is fine as long as your not a basher all the time. I have pictures of my build in the forum. If anyone knows how to post them in this forum let me know.

If you decide to go with aluminium make sure you get some bumpers that will soak up alot of the shock. Hard metal bumpers will just transfer all the energy to your bulkheads and a-arms.

Yes, integy is excellent IF you're building a show truck. the finish is great. Integy parts are fine if you are a street runner and aren't going to hit anything. any reasonable impact to an integy part will most likely break/warp it.

WOW, You had a pretty good crash!!!! That's half the fun. LOL. Now you can rebuild it better. I agree with some previous comments. Integy looks great. I have broken some Integy parts as well. If you got a steel on integy on say a place like ebay that's one thing. But I also like the RPM Products as well. Supermaxx Are Great TOO. But VERY PRICEY. I get alot of my parts on Ebay. These times are tough right now as we all know. Get the best deal you can And have Fun. Oh yeah Welcome to the hobby!!!!
