Sorry, if this has been answered before, but I am looking for replacement wheels that will give my 1/10 buggy more ground clearance. Any ideas. The amount of air under the tires is not much 6" to 12" at the most. Just tired of hearing the bottom scrap the asphault.

Wow, my post did not make much sense, what I was trying to say is that I do not jump off of ramps and stuff, and the amount of air I do grab for my jumps is 6"-12" and nothing more. When I do "grab some air" when the buggy lands, it hits the ground. I was hoping that I could purchase some tires that would give me more ground clearance.

The problem is your shocks, they usually dont hold oil so it just compresses really fast. The redcat big bore shocks work really good, they are like 32 bucks, but really help. Its a world of difference, improves handling and will deff help on jumps. http://www.redcatracing.com/RC-Cars/60003

They are a little longer so if you grind a little bit away from the chassis the arms will go a little lower and give you more groung clearance

Ya but the stock shocks dont hold oil very well. An upgrade makes a HUGE difference. Like i got my 1/8th scale, and it so nice cause it feels like it should. You drop it and it just thuds, and stops. Versus dropping it and hearing a smack, and bouncing.

Yeah,  I have a 2 wheel drive kyosho rampage, first car.  Thing was also low.  Infact if u ran it in the grass it would over heat.  I put 2.2 tires on it.  I cut them down and made them thinner for the front tires.  I also ran better springs(Heavier) and heavier shock oil.  Only problem is the bigger tires and gear ratio.  It was o.k. for me.  But I just put a .15 o.s. motor on it, I had a .12 o.s. motor.  The .15 has 30% more power so I am told.  I only put it on because I got a super deal on it.
Now I have a 1/8 scale buggy and am looking for taller  and a bit wider tires.  I wanted to put on 30 series Badlands, but cannot find any rims to fit the 17mm hex to go with them.  They are sold as 1/10 scale truck tires for the most part.  40 series are way to big and fat.   You can see my 1/10 scale in my profile pic gallery
