Just installed my novak brushless in my losi xxx-t. My question is when I go to reverse there is about a 2 second delay before the car goes into reverse, I am using setting number 1. Any one using this motor is this common or do I have something screwed up. Thanks

that is how its supposed to be. if it went directly into reverse right away, especially if you were still moving forward, it could damage your driveline. your novak SS is fine.

Not sure, but I will try to get my neighbor to shoot it with his radar within the next couple of days.. Of course it is much faster than my 19t I replaced it with. and as everyone has stated it has TONS OF TORQUE.

Is it worth buying the system or staying withed brushed motors? I was thinking about it for a xxx and possibly a xxxt. I have not heard anything bad so far. Any complaints?

I think it worth it. Think about it less money on brushes. Run times are increased and down time is less. WOW more play time!

Do brushless motors get as hot as brushed motors do? i want to put one i my pan car and go 90mph. does Anybody know a really stable body for speed runs? i want front and rear down force for handling too, but not too much. Nascars have this stuff and i can get a bolink nascar monte carlo body at my lhs. Anyone think its good?

you will NOT hit 90mph with the novak

just so you know, novak is fairly WEAK compared to most other brushless'

I saw an article in RCCA about an 111 mph car. It used an Aveox brushless.

yeah ther is not way you will 90 with a Novak BL. Its a great easy and reliable BL setup for 6-7 cells but its not made for extreme speed and tons of cells. if you want to go 90 mph I'd not start with a Novak.

i was exagerating anyway. If it went 90mph i would have no where to drive it. i want about 65-70. The car now gets up to ~55 with 12 cells and a 12 turn motor. The aevox brushless powered pan car in that article was a 2 turn running on 24 cells. The other 96mph touring car had a one-off 6 turn brushed motor made by mike reedy himself and 18 cells. I could use either one of those motor setups in my car...
