JKos -> Servo Arms with a Hole at 20 mm? (6/14/2003 1:43:47 AM)

Hello,
I have a JR Venture helicopter and I would like to put my Hitec digital servos in it for the three CCPM controls. Unfortunately, the Venture manual explicitly states that the ball link must be positioned at 20 mm or else "this will create an adverse affect as to the travel of the swashplate, as well as unwanted control
differential and interaction."

I have been looking and looking but I can only find Hitec brand or Hitec compatible servo arms with 19 mm holes. It seems that only JR brand arms have a 20 mm hole.

Does anyone know of Hitec compatible heavy duty servo arms with a hole at 20 mm? Does anyone know of Hitec compatible blank servo arms in which I could put a hole at 20 mm?

Thank you,
John Kos

I had the same problem with my futaba 3151's and ordered the heavy duty arms from tower with the 19mm hole. I just finished setting everything up and I really don't think that 1mm is going to make that much difference. Let me know what you decide to do. I'll post my results asap.

John

Would Hitecs large HD round servo disc work that’s NOW included with the Digitals? It could be cut down to size. Or you get purchase a 1" CNC aluminum arm and drill it yourself at 20mm.
