Every Tower engine I've seen run, runs good for awile and then they all start running crappy. Seems the only good thing about them is that when you send it back to Tower, they send you a new one. If you want a good 70 size engine, go with the Irvine 72, its a great running motor, btw the tower is a .75, Daz...

The only .77 I know of is the MVVS 77, which is in the same case size as their 61. Definitely worth a look. I would choose one over the Tower 75. I have an MVVS 61, and really like it.

If ultimate quality is the aim, I agree that the Irvine 72 would be a nice choice ... or an Enya 80X. This is also in Enya's 60 size case.
Both great motors.

thanks for the feed back,i dont know why i called it a .77,but i have corrected it .
i plan to mount (whichever) engine inverted.but have a concern about cooling. my plan is to add baffels around the cylinder for max cooling , as the cowl inlet looks rather small on the plans, then cut the cheater hole as recomended by TF to get rid of the heat, then, make some dummy exhaust pipes which would let heat out of the engine compartment also. do you think i could get away with just the exhaust outlets? i'm not crazy about that hole at the back edge of the cowl.

I own a T/H .46 and it will out preform the O.S.46fx without a doubt. They are strong and powerful engines. A friend has both the .61 & the .75 T/H engine and both preform flawless. The trick to a T/H engine like any other engine is to get the low side set before fooling with the high side. If you are a T/H super saver member, they double the warranty from 2yrs. to 4 yrs. They can't be beat for their power to weight ratio, not to mention their cost. 4 year warranty for a 99.00 engine? What a deal.
