Just came in from my second pack not able to hover yet but not far off This is way better than a Park Flyer, I should have gotten one of these sooner much sooner, Some minor damage boom support , stripped main pinion, lost some of those rubber connectors but all in all GREAT!!!! It's not as easy as the Sim but I can just tell this is gonna be fun, and challenging but never never boring. I'll put the chicken gear on and do some serious training in the morning, Have to do some minor repair work and some adjustment but I'm getting it Dialed in.
Thanx to all

Thanx Dodgey99, this is so much fun I did my repairs and just couldn't wait till morning so I started again last night with the gear on in the living room then went out side again no breeze got close to 2 controled hovers but she'd skid out and I was off and running around the front yard all of this at about 11:30 pm bounced it off the side of my pickup truck so I've got to fix the boom support again right side need to use some Expoxy the CA isn't tuff enough. I'm goint to go Lipolys in a couple of weeks,I'm putting an ORION ELITE on it, it should be in next week and I'll use some of those 2 cell 7.4 volt packs. I'm not really happy with the Speed 300 it still gets quite hot, plenty of power though. For my next Bird I see a RAZOR powerd CP Hornet as the next step

Good to hear you are having fun :-)

Not so sure about the hornet. I was thinking about it but did not because although, when set up right, they fly well, most people report that they need a lot of work and tinkering to get in the air, and Hornet owners seem to spend a lot of time fiddling with the tail.

I bought a Pic Pro and it is incomparable to the Hummingbird. Totally awesome! I'll try and shoot a short video for you tomorrow...

Hey Z, you're hooked, for sure. On the ;Rubber Connectors', drop; by your local Hardware Store and pick-up some Screen door (or window) "Spline" tubing. It's OD is 0.2 in (5 mm) and it's ID is perfect for use to replace those rubber connectors --- IMHO, it's much nicer to use and looks good too. You can get a lifetime supply for a couple of bucks. Chances are you may have some out in the garage (left over from the last time you replaced the screens in your windows or screen doors)

Yeah Dodgey I've heard that about the Hornets but Set-Up is half the fun (sometimes) And thanx for the tip Popcyclical I've been robbing from my crash kit but after the first set of rears I got clever and put a drop of Dubro on them so they only come off on a serious crash, Haven't put her up yet today found I had a binding problem with the aileron servo it was catching on the RX mount, I guess they call it had to trim a little off the corner, then I had to search for my Boom support from last nights enconter with the pick-up, found that but didn't take my lazy butt to the store for some Expoxy till about an hour ago, So looks like I'm in line for some more Front yard night Flying if we don't get a thunder Storm or it'll be some close quarters Flying in the Living Room

While I was shopping for Expoxy I saw some Pearl Grape paint so I picked it up, Got tired of the Cutesie Clean look So while I was waiting for the support to set I painted her up a bit. The picture above was after another half a pack, Had a couple of 10 second hovers a few bounces then it got away in a slight breeze and took out one rotor and that same support again. But like Dodgey suggested I didn't start till I had some spares ( well almost ) So I'll be back in the air later after I do a little REP Work

Well here it is day 5 and I'm nursing my final set of mains one in good shape the other cracked in four places waiting for my spares and the shaft mod to come in, Might hold off till I get a stiffener for the head, might make it easier. still haven't managed a Hover over 10 sec's a little tougher than I thought But Still Great

The shaft mod will give you a little more positive control (not so much control latency). It may help save a set of blades or two.

You probably won't notice too much from the head stiffener until you try FF flight.

I got my Orion Elite today looking at it it's about half or 2/3 the size of the Speed 300 only thing it dosen't seem to have standard mouting screw holes or else they're very small so I'll have to figure out how to mount it also some mod's to the frame area where the motor mounts as the shaft is quite short
