Hi all.  New here, but not new to RC.  I built a couple of scorpion IV's back in the 1980's.  With a Fox.45BB engine, the thrust weight was darn near 1:1.  Easy to assemble, strong, light.  I would build another one from the plans I saved, but reproducing all the tapered wing ribs would be a hassle.

The specs off the plans, copyright 1980 by Mark Smith:
Span 58"
Area 719 in^2
Length 45"
Engine .30 to .40
Weight 4.75#

Cheers!

That is a incredible list of designs. I had forgot or wasn't aware of most of the motorized designs.
I received a couple of Windfree kits from Hobby Hangar. I must they are very nice laser cut kits, and reasonably priced.
I am just about to start a modded Windfree kit.
