Just bought my H-9 1.50 P51.from Hobby town. The engine reccomended is the Zenoah 26cc ei, Has any one put this engine in?, is it gutsy enough? And hopefully with as little cutting on the cowl as possible. Any info will be appreciated, as Ive been out of this hobby over 25 yrs. C.ops

It'll fly the plane, but not very fast. The benchmark prop is a 16x8 according to Horizon. This plane kinda needs a larger prop then that. You'd be better off with a G38. It can spin an 18x10, but an 18x8 is probably more in the top rpm band

There is alot more info in this thread and its about the newer 80" H9 1.50 P-51 whereas this one started off on the original 77"
