Hey dc2 man, ive had the car for about 2 months now and loving it! yep its got the zen g230 with samba 5 pipe. i run my cars at a stadium carpark ( very big ) ive just mounted up some mcd bluespot tyres to grp wheels, they have lasted for ages now on my mcd rally car, 14 tanks and not even half worn, so im gonna try them on the sx-3. and like yourself, im totally hooked too, can't wait for the weekend to take this machine out again . that go kart track sounds like fun, can't wait for more vids.

nice one man..

i would be very intrested now in seeing how them tyres are going to hold up on your car when you run it the next time.

i have another order coming friday tyres around 6sets,delrin spur gear white, will look good to match rims and is super strong, also the bushings for it,two alloy engine mounts, loads other bits and pieces also, will post up some pics friday when they arrive.
two fronts and rears are pmt cronos 20 and 27 and four sets of both front and rear fg dtm medium coumpount tyres, these are the ones i use all along and even though theyare a little soft man they offer amazing grip........i dont mind because it allowes me to make faster runs and safer too.

the place where i run is a huge factory massive car park it allowes me to run flat out,but next time i go there im going to use 12 mini cones to make it more intresting/track like.

must also organise a run in that gokart track in abbeyfeale.

videos will be up one of the days.

man i love that harm.
lovely machine and very well built....

yeah will keep you posted on how the tyres go, man your going through some tyres on yours, does the shop have any left lol, i couldn't agree more about using soft tyres, better to spend a bit more, than risk damaging the car.

haha lol

i am actually, ill tell you the truth i have gone through 8 sets allready sinse just jan lol

i drive it very fast, but recently i have learned to grab extra run time from tyres by letting them cool down between runs and also by going the opposite way around the track im using to wear even...

looking forward to your updates man.
so any run time planned for this weekend?

im on the look out for more running grounds...damm hard to come by....lol

need back up plans just in case lol

yeah i know what you mean about the spectators lol, every time i take my car out, really annoying, people ask a whole bunch of questions, and they're not even interested in getting one, and it wastes your valuable playtime lol. i bought my harm secondhand from australia for $2250 nzd which is about $1000 usd at the moment. in terms of reliability its excellent, just doesn't seem to break! unless you make heavy contact with a wall! lol, there really is nothing to upgrade on this car, as its a comp car. correction on the price... $2250 was about $1125 usd at the time i bought, just to give you an idea.

Hi!

I might be speculant for the alloy engine mounts. I just need to get my salary first

What more upgrades is possible on your Carson?

I myself have been in the garage all evening washing my new FG onroad. I guess I will have several question to ask you dc2man the more I get into this.

Can you recommend a good and still cheap pipe for my car? Does the Carson pipe fit FG?

yes no problem waqr

i have two alloy ones for sale if you are intrested i will do you a good deal.
PAYPAL ACCEPTED

yes of course the pipe will fit your fg,it has a zenoah engine and my pipe is very cheap and will fit your fg no problem at all.

i just replied to your fg comment on my rebuild.

so you have your car all nicely cleaned up,bet you cant wait to run it man,i cant wait to hear some feedback from you about it........

my new list of upgrades will stert tomorrow again as i have my order arriving tomorrow morning new two alloy mounts(differnt to fg ones on this carson) because the rear diff is mounted higher than fg on the carson also chassis holes have slightly differnt locations.

also i have lots of tyres tomorrow and some new front steering arms as one of mine snapped...

i am planning on upgrading the rest of this car this year all alloy blue anodised as that is the colour of some allready upgraded parts from factory and i really like the blue alloy on this model.

cheers.
cant wait to hear feedback of your new one.
have you ran it yet at all??

Hi!

A fully blue annodised Carson . That will be great stuff man. So what are you saying regarding the alloy engine mounts, do they differ beteween your Carson and my FG onroad?

I haven`t ran m yet but I will get my reciever today so I will go up yearly tomorrow and try it out. It will (hopefully) be great.

Since some of your videos dosen`t work here, can I watch them someplace else?

hey waqr i just left you some great info on the "blueprinting" over on my fg beetle thread see what you think, hope it helps you understand the basics of it as you asked about my new cad engine thats on the way the 26th this month.

the vids need to be sorted if you pm lars from norway therre,he is sound out and tell him the vids you wanta watch he should sort out the links,i am going to use utube from now on to upload so they should all work straight away.

yeah the fg and carson mounts are totally differnt, carson one is much bigger and chunkier.....the chassis holes on carson do not accept fg mounts and also it is too low (large engine mount) to screw in to the rear carbon brace. the brace that goes on top of diff mounts and on top of large engine mount man.

i will upload pics now,got all my PARTS TODAY yeahhhhhhhy!!!

going to run it now in a minute and test it out.....

here is the stuff,i love the white spur gear looks cool, and check out the shine from them mounts man....

here are my most recent **UPDATES** on this carson model.
i had a busy evening putting everything together and getting it up and running again, was nice to fire it up again after so long.

no to go test and burn some rubber

Looks good Man those tires looks awesome. I bet they are pretty soft, right?

I saw the difference between the FG and Carson engine mounts. The Carson mounts are really beefy

Looking forward for your new videos

hello lads well i went to my running ground at 7 o clock to rattle some neighbours lol and take it for a blast, man I LOVE this machine..........god i have never spent so much time running a largescale till i got this.........going great now after the new bits thisevening. one funny thing happened,i had a few spectators in watching me and after an hour of driving my layshaft pinion came off and just dissappeared in to thin air,lol could not find it..........lucky for me i had a spare and got back running in minutes............had great fun the next time i run here i might make up a track with some cones and pipe, some new videos then........ dc2 man i will be running this all weekend lol AHHHH ADDICTION IS BAD!!!

by the way i washed the car after putting on the new exhaust gasket,my god the differnce no more stuff and dirt sticking to it........ran it for few hours now this weekend and its still clean lol,no wonder it used to be so dirty before with the leaking gasket from the manifold causing everything to stick to it.

also changed my fuel mix now to 150 mill to 5 liters......better richer mix.

**UPDATE**

i was at the car tonight and decided to install the 26cc zenoah head kit on my new 23cc engine, fitted it with all new gaskets, new head/piston/c-clips/needle bearing/ -this is going to be awesome now.power to weight ratio will be unreal........and down on top of that i shelved the layshaft 16tooth standard pinion and upgraded to an 18tooth there instead, now this should ballance out the wicked low down grunt of that 26,from my research this is a track used ratio and gains with the g260head are supposed to be great in combination with my gear ratio,23 tclutch -48tspur.....18t layshaft-48t diff............i am very confident that acceleration and top speed will be greatly improved.....lets see...i put my 23cc head and piston back in its box which is new by the way and will be there untill needed again.

lets see how this goes tomorrow. )
