Props4ever , Thanks for the input on the Spring Air retracts. Those pics are actualy old one used to show the rail setup . The Spring Airs came with kit when I got it so that is what I started with . I have since then received some Robarts at a very good deal and installed those with some modifications to the rail width, but silly me didn't take any pictures of them during the installation .. I agree the Robarts are a better choice . If one is building and has the option GO WITH ROBART.

Well now!

I am going to have to complete what's on the bench and check out the Cessna box.

I have been looking on the airline site and can't find the Cessna's, have I over looked something?

Hi Guys: I joined the Club not knowing how scarce the Nosen Cessna 310 is to buy. I will keep looking but if anyone knows of one for-sale please let me know. I was planning on buying the Top-Flite Cessna 310 before I joined the club but for now I keep looking for the Nosen Cessna but will get the Top-Flite kit in the fall for a winter project if I don't find one before then. Mean while I keep up to date reading any building projects posted and the recommended gear being used,Engines,Retracts, hinges etc, etc, etc. The 310 I believe is the best looking airplane ever made by Cessna. Any debate? Dstiebs...

Hi Guys, for those of you building,,,I get 99% of my documentation from all the closeup shots for the full scale Cessna's that are for sale on EBAY. I log on every Sunday night and see what for sale, and then just keep adding the best shots to my inventory. Also checkout www.airliners.net. It's got millions of pics showing the whole plane from a distance, but not many closeup shots. If any of you are looking for something in particular and can't find any good shots, let me know and I'll see what I have. My favorite Cessna is the 414 Chancellor................I've been working on a 24% since August of 2006.....It's done, and I would like to post pics on this thread in a couple of weeks......if it's OK?......... Rick

buy the plans and patterns on ebay and cut your own parts.not hard to do does not take long with small bench power tools and alot cheaper than a kit.

If you look often, you can find a Nosen 310 kit either here or on E*ay. They pop up quite frequently. I bought mine off a local guy, after he and I taunted each other for a while. He wanted a kit I still have, and I wanted the 310, now I have both as I waited him out!LOL!. I think these are some great kits to trick out, and it doesn't get much prettier than a 310. I plan to do the R version with mine. There was an article in RCM i believe years ago about a fella who took one of these and scaled it out, and I was hooked from that point on. I am going to have to look for that article, as I'm pretty sure I saved it.

It would be nice when you find info on the 310 to post it here for all to share. I have been looking at the "r" version also.

Thanks ...........Donnyman #17

I will try and find it ASAP. It was a great article with pictures of a nice aircraft. If memory serves me correctly, the guy powered it with 2 OS 108FSR's, had custom retracts made for it, made a custom interior with upholstered seats, etc. It also detailed some of the changes he made to the kit's outline to make it more true to scale. I will do my best to find it.

Anbody had any experience with the G&H Hobby f'glass 310. Also, how about the Precision laser cut all wood kit.

Anybody know a source for plans and temps. Nothing on ebay right now.

Thanks,

Just a FYI, I too was looking for Nosen kit and last year at Joe Nall stumbled across basically a Nosen 310 ARF by Hodges Hobbies. Saw it fly several times. Mac sent me pictures of the final prototype along with a estimated cost of $1200 which included the retracts. The prototype was running twin G26's. The last email I had received from Mac was that this ARF would be available in the May time frame.

Bo , I have the G&L glass fuse as well as the nacelles and cowls , the glass work is good . This is not a complete kit , no formers are provided, no wings or tailgroup .
I feel the glass is well worth the 275.00 , but you still have to do alot of work . If you are an accomplished builder this wont slow you down . If you are not then it will be a
steep learning curve on designing and fitting your own innerstructures . I am in no hurry on mine and work on it between multiple other projects , so its taking me a while .

Bill,
I hate to bust your bubble but that is one of my three nosen's and the picture was taken 2 or three years ago at our airshow here in Iowa City ,Iowa If you look close at the right side of the picture you can see a tip tank from another one of my fleet. Check out my profile to see the fleet.

Well, I'll be durnt, that is yours Allen, checked your profile and there it were. Have you done any flying yet this year? I was hoping all the snow would stay "down south" so I could get some flying in. What size fuel tanks do you use on that one in the pic?

taken in California at a fly in he attened quite some time ago,
would it be possible there are two of the same aircraft built,
