Hi

I want to go A123 on my 450 heli and need 3S A123 packages, preferably with Deans connector and balancing plug. I know they can be homemade, but I'm going for someone already made now.

Here's what I have found until now, but living in Denmark/Europe, they are either along way away, not in stock, with wrong or missing connector etc.

US, $50, Hypersonic pack
http://cgi.ebay.com/A123-9.9V-2300-Li-Ion-Nano-Phosphate-Hypersonic-Battery_W0QQitemZ360139585171QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20090317?IMSfp=TL090317201008r6590

US, $60, custom made

US, $57,50, custom made

AT, €50

DE, €57

Can anymore provide more dealers?

There is this one:

http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/main.asp?sid=807320&pgid=showlipos&man=A123&cat=A123#AR26650-2S1PF

They are a little more expensive though.

I was looking at the connectors on the ebay pack and it is just like mine where the balance tap is for the Hypersonic chargers and not the normal E-Flight or ThunderPower balance tap. I made an adapter for it so I can use a regular balancer which is pretty easy but if you can't solder a connector on the pack then you wouldn't be able to make the adapter.

Received the battery pack from Radical RC last week. Cost with shipping was $59 for a 3-cell pack with Deans connector and balance connector.

You will really like the A123's. I have two packs for my CopterX 450. The plus side is sub 10 minute charge times, very durable, and you can run them until they won't spin the motor any more with out damaging them.

The con side is that they are a lot heavier that LiPo's so they aren't very good for 3D flying, but they work great for sport flying.

The site I recommended has deans and a "normal" balance tap. But as stated in my previous post you can get the ones from ebay for less then make your own adapter for just a few bucks and save some money. Once in a while you see them on ebay for around $40 with the Hyperion balance connector but those deals are becoming more rare.
