Status: offline 		I have RF G4.5 with add ons 1 - 5. I am wasn't able to find an electric warbird, so I decided to edit one. I like the spitfire, so I loaded the plane and clicked "edit Plane". I switched it to electric motor, clicked save as, and I saved it as Spitfire EP. Then I reloaded it. When the plane first comes up, the prop is still just like an EP. Then I throttle up and it sounds like a nitro engine. I can't figure out how to edit the motor sound. Please help.

Status: offline 		Now, I have noticed that not only will it not change the sound. The plane isn't powerful enough to fly. I have changed the airframe to Foam to make it lighter, but it still won't fly. The editor won't let you choose what type of electric motor you want. Is real flight not really set up to do this type of editing or am I missing something?

Status: offline 		I haven't edited on in awhile, so just went into my 4.5

If you look under Airframe>Fuselage>Engine you can change the engine to an electric motor, and there is an Engine Sound Profile or somesuch that has a number of options for motors, like brushless and geared and such.

I didn't see that before. There are way too many settings for a beginner like me. I was able to select the electric motor and then the battery and the sound, but it still needs alot of mods to the fuse and other stuff I guess, because it flies like crap.
I need to go find a PZ Spitfire that someone has already setup for G4. Anyone know where I can find planes for G4?

Status: offline 		Thanks, already found it and downloaded several planes. Including the PZ Spitfire I wanted
It does need a little more power. I will see if I can make the motor brushless. But I haven't found that spec yet. I see where to change it to electric but not brushless.
