you can thin the paint and leave it in the jar but if its a brand new jar, than there is no room for thinner. when i use the bottle feed i usually pour the paint into seperate containers/bottles cause i mix kustom colors and you dont want to contaminate the original jar of paint. you dont have to fill the bottle to the top, just mix as much as you need. also, if you are using pacta racing finish you DONT want to use paint thinner. you have to thin it with laquer thinner. make sure you dont switch the two. and yes you can use other brands. hope this helps.

WHEN YOU SAY OTHER BRANDS DOES THAT MEAN GENERIC CHEAP LACQUER THINNER FROM WALMART WILL WORK? I AM GOIN TO GO GET SOME SMALLER JARS TONIGHT TO THIN THE WHOLE BOTTLE OF PAINT, AND JUST LEAVE IT IN THEM. I WILL HAVE BOTTLES ALL SET UP FOR PAINTIN THEN.
