I have just aquired a disharger, and am getting low redings on a pack of mine.

It is an 1100 mah AA Nicad. It will only "Take" 1050 Mah, and will only put out 970. This is with a cut off voltage of .8/cell. It was about 20 F. when I did the test. Would I get more if it was 70 F?

Dave,
That temp is way too cold for an accurate reading.
What method of charging are you using?
What rate of discharge are you using?
Is this a new pack or an older one? If new, was it 'prime charged' prior to use?

It is an old (1 year) snayo pack, hasn't been used too much.

I tried to charge it at C/5 (.2amps) and discharge at C/5. Got 996 Mah

I tried to charge at C and discahrge at .8 Amps Got 970 Mah.

This is when it was 20 out side, the charger is in the garage.

This isnt that bad, I was just wondering if It was 70, I would get a better reading. Still producing 90% or so.

I will know tonight, I am going to bring the charger in and try it again.

I read low temps could make you loose 4% VOLTAGE, but I don't know about Mah.

The pack was always charged at C/10 up until now.

This started because I just got an Itegy 16 X 5. That is why it is in the garage. Car batt for power until I build the computer power supply. Besides that, the beep is loud in the middle of the night.

This is an awsome charger. It has done wonders for my RC2000 and Nimh 3000 packs.

Charges 4 to 8 cells, .1 to 7 amp charge, and .1 to 20 amp discharge. Adjustable 3 to 30 Mv peak too!
