What is the best replacement LithoPoly battery for skylark that will give me good 20 minutes flying. How much and where can i buy this.
Also need good charger for this that lets me know when charge is finished and charges battery quickly.
I currently get about 5-8 minutes flying and charge takes 2 hours out of the box.

LiPoly will take at least an hour to charge. To get the shortest charge time make sure you get a charger that can charge at 1200ma.

My tail rotor does not seem to be working properly, it runs but I really have to flik the tail rotor blades to get it started. I put the left stick all the way to the right and it is not enough power to turn.
The battery must be fine, because the main rotors turn okay, what could be the problem.

It is probably a bad tail motor. The stock motors supposedly don't last very long.

If i flick the motor it runs, but not enough to turn helicopter, it used to run really fast. I always now have to assist it to turn, you think I need new motor.

Another possibility is that the gears are meshing to tightly. This can happen after a crash. Loosen the screws holding the motor on, and adjust the motor position so the gears don't bind. I have also damaged a gear in a crash, but was able to clean it up with a file.

I just looked at the gears it seems okay, it rotates with ease. I took the motor off the tail end to see if i could get it to spin, and it would not spin at all.
Sometimes while playing with it yesterday it turned a fraction, but that was it.

Thanks

You can try connecting the motor directly to the battery to check it, but the motor is probably dead.

jeffs555 can you recommend a model name for charger, so I get the right one for the Two cell E-tec 1200mah batteries.
I am new to electric and want to make sure I get right equipment.

Thanks

Hi asquires ,

This is my opinion only, and everything works great after I've done this mod. I purchased the IR sauces at Walmart for my nephew a while ago. He played it and got bored. I took it apart and used its motor for my Feda tail motor. I used it for more than 20 flies, and it is still working. The bad thing is it costs you around 25 dollars for the IR flying souces while the replacement for the original motor cost around 10 dollars. It's up to you to decide what best fits you. Good luck.
