I have a few issues, please help if you can.

1. The screws and plastic nuts to mount the servos were not in my kit. The manual has them included, I think (see Pg 14 step 4). Where did yours come from ?
2. Tail Boom Brace:  The manual shows M2 Specialty Washers on both ends. Mine only had washers on the frame side. I moved the washers to the other side so that the screws on the frame side would go deeper into the plastic and hold a bit better. Did you get the extra "M2 Specialty Washers" with yours ?
3. My battery holder is only 2" long. Is this right ?

1. The servo mounting hardware was not included with my kits either. I've been told that the factory has been made aware of the missing mounting hardware and they are going to be including it in future kits. I mounted my servos with hardware I had sitting in my toolbox. I don't remember where I got them. On my PE kit I had to solve the issue as well. I picked up some M2x10 screws and M2 washers and nuts and secured the servos that way. I've included some pictures of that. Since I couldn't find lock washers at my LHS I had to use regular nuts so if you do as well make sure to thread lock them.

2. If you are talking about the boom braces that connect to the horizontal stabalizer then no I didn't have any washers for that either. Not a big deal there. 

3. Yes the battery holder is that short.

Status: offline 		Thanks. I just placed an order with Micro Fasteners.  I got a good assortment of M2, M2.5 and M3 items.

Now I have to wait again... sigh !

I solved my servo mounting woes with some socket head servo screws and old servo arms. I cut the last three holes off the servo arms, drilled the center hole out with a 1/16 bit and they lock down perfectly.

Now I have another couple of newbie questions. Nothing seems to come with any instructions !!!

1. Gyro. I have the 401B recommended above. Which way round does it get mounted ?  A picture showing the bottom rear of the heli would be perfect.
2. Gyro. I am going to need some instructions for setting the gyro. Nothing came with it.
3. Canopy foam. Per the instructions, one should mount some foam on the bottom ridge of the canopy to prevent it rubbing and breaking.  What did you use for this ? What glue did you use ?
4. Pitch guage, paddle guage etc. It also came with no instructions. I have no idea what I am supposed to do with it.
5. Where did you mount your RX ?  Rear of the bottom plate ?
6. Main blades and tail blades - how loose or tight should they be?  One of my main blades locks up very quickly, the other remain looser.

I'll get you that picture tomorrow. You want to mount it under the boom block with the top of the label towards the body of the heli. The bottom of the label towards the tail.

Just set the gyro up like it is a futaba 401.  Check out the videos on setting it up here:

I didn't use anything for the canopy foam. Didn't catch that part in the manual. I've never used anything on any of my heli's before.

Which pitch gauge did you get? This post describes how to use it pretty well:

My RX is mounted on one of the sides. I find it's easier for me to get to the wires when I mount it like this. This also puts the 2.4ghz antenna's in a vertical orientation. Flat on the bottom also works where you're talking about. I included the best picture I could find of my receiver mount.

You're blades should be tight enough that they do not flop around in the grips but not to tight that you can't move them. They should be just tight enough to hold in place but not so loose as to let the blades flop around. The tail blades should also be like this. You don't want them flopping but you don't want them to tight that they won't straighten when spinning.

Cool.  Did you get the combo motor and ESC as well ?  If not, what will you be using ?

Now I just need to get the electronics to start the build.
