hey steven man good to see you started up here.

thats a fine looking machine,it looks pretty well build actually.

im going to leave you a link to a site where you can find info on parts and which parts will/wont fit it....

seems like you have some dismantling done already,so what are your first plans with it?

any pics of the body?
the army print bodies look well on them.

SQ and TQ - ShengQi and TianQi. Basically the same, and they sell copies of the FG monster truck. They have 26cc motors, unlike the buggies, and retail for about £330. Update: These are very good cars for the money, with good quality plastics. The main difference between these and the FG monster truck is the monster truck has alloy sideplates, which are sure to make it tougher. Spares for these are readily available, fg ones should fit, but you can get cheaper ones from nitrotek.

fg parts will fit this steven..

no bother man

good to be of some bit of help.

ah sure like my own story its hard to get the cash right now for the hobby as parts can be expensive at times but bit by bit we do get there.

it will all start coming to you man once you strip it all apart.....

all part of the fun.

i think the engine mounts will be same as the fg also.

be great to see pics of them sometime if you could.

I have the same truck and I bought the ones from DDM. The CAT5 gears are nice set and they are so hard. They still look like new and I have run many tanks on them

I found them here
http://www.davesmotors.com/s.nl/c.885035/n.1/it.A/id.2323/.f

I found the stock tank leaked fuel all over the place so duratrax has a new stank for the firehammer MT and it fits great.
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXPMP7&P=ML

It looks like largescale has the pinion gear in stock.

Count the teeth on both gears. The stock gears should be 19/48. You might have fg gears on it. The problem with fg gears is the gear plate for our truck has a different center to center on the shaft holes. If you notice the firehammer has an odd gear size and and even spur gear. FG's use gears with even numbers. You can use fg gears if you have fg gear plate. Also check you bearing in the large motor mount. It should be 7mm wide. Mine was only 5mm wide and it would fall out. I looked on ebay and picked up a set on ebay from a bearing supplier in the US. I will upload some pictures.

I bought the duratrax gear plate and the bearings in the plate are the same size as skate board bearings. I bought all my replacement bearings off ebay for a fraction of the cost of the ones at the LHS. You can use the FG gear plate but use the FG gear set with it. You will need a new fg large motor mount so the drive shaft lines up with the gear plate. That is why I bought duratrax parts. They are alot cheaper here then FG parts. I did buy the FG small aluminum motor mount so I have one good metal mount. I still run the plastic spur gear carrier so I have a weak point that will give if the drive locks up or jams. Spur gear carrers are cheap and they seem to last. It looks like you pinion gear wore out but was not mesh well with the pinion gear. I ran in the sand last year and I would go through a set of plastic gears each time I went out. That is why I went all metal.

hey man good work and great pics!!!

the fg mounts are a direct fit for that engine and gearplate and gears/clutch/carb in fact i would think everything for that engine is a direct fg fit....

keep up the good work..

man i wouldnt go replacing them spur gears untill you really need to,they can be very tough with the steel clutch pinion in plastic trim.

i,ve sent him about £200 work off work and he said he would do it for half so that good
so u recon i should leave all the gears alone the now .
i was going to replace the diff gear and the spur the now as they look a bit nacked i seen a set on flee bay for £30 so i was

I have the same truck. First thing I did was put a Futaba FASST receiver in it to use my 3PM FASST system with it. I then upgraded the engine with a 27cc head kit, Jet Pro pipe, Velocity stack, Unifilter airfilter with velocity stack, prefilters for the airfilter and pullstart, chrome engine kit, and a high RPM clutch spring all from DDM. I also replaced the crappy stock shocks with ones for the FG Marder sold from pro5thscale.com. I did have to put limiters in the front shocks to make the suspension geometry correct. See both my thread on this truck: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8343941/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm and Slawhammers very informational thread about the Fire Hammer (same vehicle): http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_7706537/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm I also replaced the stock weak Jeep Wrangler body with a FG ford F150 body and replaced the roll cage with the FG one for the Marder. Most marder parts will fit.
