Hello, I just got a new Rio 2 weeks ago and I love it! I have my carb settings at: H-3/4's of a turn and L-2 1/8. All I have to do to get it to start up is push the primer bulb until it fills up with fuel and then close the choke and pull it about 2 times(it usually tries to fire about the 2nd time). Then all I do is open the choke and make sure the Idle is slightly open and it usually starts right up! I have done a few mods to my stock exhaust header. I opened it up a bit with a dremel so that I could stick my complete pinky down inside of it and then I smoothed it out. I also made my own gaskets for the exhaust header and water jacket. This really helps it out quite a bit. My Rio probably hits about 45 to 47 mph in the straights. It runs really good for me, I haven't hade any major issues with the my Fuji engine!!! I sure have read my share of them on here though!! LOL The only problams that I've had with the boat was a leaking gas tank and oil tank. Oh, and I lost my hatch/cover the first day out on the lake! I had it fastened down like it was supposed to be and the air caught it and ripped it right off! My advice to anybody on the hatch/cover is to glue some thick foam underneath it somewhere and probably invest in some better fasteners for it! I never found mine, it sunk before I could get to it. That was an expensive mistake!!! LOL Aquacraft has been very good to me about replacing the defective parts and the new parts have allways arrived very quickly. I am very satified with my boat now, the fiberglass hull is very nice and strong too. The only other advice that I could give somebody on the Rio is to make sure to apply a couple of layers of a good brand 30 minute epoxy to the inside of the hull, especially around the back of the hull and around the engine mounting area. I also made sure the everything was sealed up really good in the transom area. Oh, and upgrading to a ditital high torque steering servo and a 6 volt rechargable battery pack is a must if you want to turn on a dime. Well, i wish everybody good luck on there boats.
