I haven't run my RS4 yet, but one of the main things I wanted to learn on it was drifting.

I looked up the weight of the normal RS4 3 evo, and its 3.85 pounds. Mine seems to be 4.5 pounds, so I'm not sure how that will effect its ability to drift. Hopefully it still can. Still waiting on a few more parts before the car is ready to try.

The engine I got with the car is a OS 18CV-R. I still need to find a good exhaust system for it, I don't like the one I got with the car. I'm leaning towards either the THS pipe and header, or the Tsais rear mounted pipe setup.

rx7 the pipe on my RS4 rubs the tire the same way now, its one of the reason I want to replace it.

That extreme rc mods pipe looks nice, but I fail to see how it can fit on a RS4 3 series car, notice also that they don't show that pipe mounted on an RS4.

both of you guys recommend the THS pipe over the tsais rear pipe. Why is that ? Why do you prefer one over the other.

I have the Ths pipe and know how it does. And the rear exhaust I've seen it on a car and the mt2 and it requires alot of retuning and for the price I picked the Ths pipe over Tsais pipe. Also I didn't notice much of a performance change WIth the Tsais pipe as I did with Ths pipe . That's just my two cents at the end of the day it's your car and money so what you want is up to you.

Thanks for the info jackedman, I appreciate what your experiences with them.

I know what you mean about price, the tsais pipe is $79, and the THS is like $36.
I'm not worried about retuning, since my car isn't tuned now, I have never run it since it was incomplete when I got it.

I had one of those drift kits on my sons car. It's way better than electric drifting, it's slo motion drifting for me. The nitro was way faster.

Well, you all agree'd that the THS pipe was a good one.
But, I'm never good at fitting in and wanted to be different.
After reading some good reviews on the Tsais pipe, plus I like how it keeps the car cleaner, and I think it looks very nice, I ordered one yesterday. I know its not as powerful as the THS pipe, but I'm not worried much about that, I'm sure the difference is very small. I'll post pictures when it arrives, should look real nice on the car. I searched around a lot to make sure the Tsais rear mounted pipe fits on the aluminum parts my car has, and finally found somebody else that had one, it fits fine.

With the shocks, and pipe on its way, the only problem left on my car is the roto-start. It has a tiger drive one, and the HPI starter won't fit it. I'm considering going back to the original O.S. pull starter on the 18cv-r. I'm not sure the starter will fit, will it hit any of the aluminum parts like the rear aluminum diff, or rear suspension arms.. Another option is to use an HPI roto start backplate like they have on their 15-18 engine, but I have no idea if it will fit on an OS 18cv-r.

The Tiger Drive seems ok I guess, I just have to get more parts to use it. I need to order a wand from Tiger, then find a starter motor that works with the wand and buy that.

ok this is how you save yourself some money. the tiger drive is a allen key so find out what size it is and just buy that allen key ( it might be 6mm ) and just cut it off at the bend. also try to get one of the ball end ones. Now with that done just use your house hold battery powered drill.
I had a ofna motor that the pull start went and i ordered that kind of starter and i just made it work. I dont like to spend money on things if i can make it for cheaper

The wand is the long metal piece that connects your starter motor to the socket on the engines rotostart backplate.

My G-Made shocks arrived today too. They are really nice, with excellent machining, and no defects or air bubbles in the plastic parts. Three parts are metal on them, the top cap/mounting lug, the threaded shock body, and of course the piston shaft. It took me about an hour to put the four of them together. I was surprised at how tiny thier travel was, only about 1/4 inch.

I have two small complaints about them:  The balljoint mount for the top needs to be supplied with a plastic washer to fit between the shock top, and the frame on the car, the way it shipped it was a little loose front-to-back. I used a plastic washer I had already to tighten it up. The ball joint fits the shock top fine, its just it has front-back play. The other complaint is the red bumper at the bottom of the spring area, its meant to stop the car from bottoming out. That bumper piece is too thick, and cannot be installed on these VERY short shocks. If I put it in, the travel on the shock would be like 1/16 of an inch..  lol. I think the bumper is intended for the longer truck style shocks that G-Made has, and putting them in with the very short car shocks was a mistake.

The small bottle of shock oil that come with each pair is about 50x more than you need. It took 15 drops to fill the chamber, then 5 more after getting the air bubbles out, so only 20 drops total per shock. They came with one spring each, and three pistons each, with 2, 3, or 4 holes drilled in the pistons for heavy, mid, or light damping. I used the 2 hole pistons for stiffer suspension because my car is heavier than normal RS4 3. I tried the simple drop test, lifting the front or back of the car about 2 inches and dropping it. With those crappy silver shocks the car would fall and bottom out with a thunk, even from only 1 inch drop. With these new shocks, it doesn't bottom out at 2 inches, and barely touches at 3 inches drop. Very nice improvement I think. I just got them all installed on the car and set, I'll take a few pictures and post them later on.
