So you think I should check the front diff? What is the advantage of slick tires? Also how do the colors of the springs correspond to stiffness?

Not exactly the diff. Check if the front and the rear wheels spin the same or if something is wrong and your car behaves like a RWD one. Slick tires have better grip than any other rubber one and they last longer than foams. And here's how colours correspond to stiffness:

Mmm might as well throw this into this thread instead of making a new one:

I have a pretty new RS4 3 Evo+ RTR, and at low-medium speed it handles fine and tracks totally straight. If I jam the throttle it has a tendency to veer off and sometimes loose traction completely. If i slowly work my way up to a high speed it doesnt happen though. Car is bone stock. Do I need to tighten up my front diff? Or is something else going on?

rubber tires do that get some foams, and itll be a lot better. With foams, i can punch mine fully (18TZ, and it keeps perfect traction)

Hey, I ran my rs4 today w/ worn out tires and the car will not run straight. I hit about 60+ MPH w/ 19x43 and 23x39 gears. It seems fast but not fast enough. I want the car to hit 70 MPH. Anybody know what else I should do to make the car go even higher or have faster acceleration.

Does the Tsais rs4 rear Nitro Devil exhaust give any performance?

tsais doesnt really add performance, to a tuned pipe, if you have the stock one, then it would be a good choice to get. Its very unlikely to get 70 with a plain old RS4, but youre running a peak performance motor right? the only other possibility is finding custom gears, or taller gearing from elsewhere.

Yea, I'm running the Diablo .18 with the stock aluminum pipe. What pipe would you recommend besides the Carbon one for a budget of $50.

Also, has anybody used custom gearing on the RS4? If so, what mods do you have to perform?

The LRP tuned pipe is so far the best non in-line pipe there is for .18 engines. I use it too. And I think its price is within your budget.

I'm thinking of selling my rs3 it is a 2nd generation with the 18 ss. The motor was rebuilt last year and only has about a gallon through it since the rebuild.the motor was also ported during the rebuild. the tires are ok and the wheels are a bit beat up. the engine is the easiest starting motor I have ever seen. starts on the first pull almost every time. it has a 2 speed and come with a bag full of spare parts. it comes with two bodies, one is a bmw and the other is a silverado they are both kind of scratched up. the car was only run as a parking lot basher. any idea of what I should ask for it? I was thinking $150-$200
