thanks. Gyn, i dont get it, im not all to great with the technical stuff, but you found the same frequency to control the servo? sweet.

Yes I found the frequencies needed and now I'm designing a super small controlable pulse generator that I intend to control from the piezo-gyro outup signal.

You're gonna do what?? It's cool that you are going to make it super small but what are you going to control the pulse generator with and------------------ what is a pulse generator????? Just curious but, the video was cool

Hey everyone, long time! I just recently started driving my RS4 3 SS with the HPI .12 still in it again and its still fun as hell! I stepped it up from 20% to 30% O'Donnel racing fuel with an OS A5 plug and it seems to scream pretty good...enough that I almost tore a tire off the rim and had to swap to the stock X-pattens which I found out work better on my road.

Aside from all that fun, another thing thats fun is new parts! I got my new OS .18 today and thats what I'll be putting on the new chassis (chassis pic to come) along with the Venom smart temp fail safe.It will by no means be some super expensive monster build but it will have a nice engine and I think that will go well with the rest of the parts I've collected and put on the car over time.I'll get pics of the car in its current state as well as the new chassis tomarrow so everyone can see what I'm talking about but for now, heres some new parts!!!

Forums were down for maintainence...I couldn''t even get on the last 2 days.

Thanks for the reply,I know that engine is discontinued but I saw it at the hobby shop and had to snag it,I upgraded alot of parts on the car and never bothered to replace the engine so it''s time, haha.

Heres a couple pics of the car before teardown so you guys can see what I have without going back to page 30 of this thread...

I could just swap that motor in and break it in but I''m gonna de-anodize all the purple off the aluminum and completly rebuild it on another chassis I made a few years ago...

Plenty more pics to come in the next week!!!

Yes I''m gonna do that! The pulse generator is gonna be controlled by a signal generated from a piezoelectric gyroscope according to the yaw angle of the car (rear end slide). A pulse generator is an integrated circuit using the Lm555 timer (that''s the one I designed) in order to produce pulses of specific duration and distance between them.

Hey Gynaikas, sounds like you are an engineer? If so, how long have you been in the field? Electronics Engineer or Computer Engineer? I will be graduating by the end of this year as a Computer Engineer. I want to know how is Engineering Work over in Greece?

Listen to this, I had a buddy who graduated from Electronics Engineer a couple of trimesters ago and he built an autonomous drag car. He used a Tmaxx and interfaced it with the HCS12 microcontroller. Without his system, his car would wheely everytime he gives it gas but when he turns his system on, the car will drag straight forward without wheeling or flipping over. It was a good system, I just wished I saved his video.

Also, please let me know if you guys find any pinion gears larger than 23t that will fit my NRS4. My car only does between 60 and 70 but I want it to do 80. The engine has tons of power so I am not worry about gearing it very tall.

I have 1 more year of studies before I get my master. So when june comes I''ll have completed 6full years in the field. Well my university "school" is called Department of electrical engineering and computer technology. So It''s both electronics and computers. I''ve chosen my master at Systems and automatic control. The anti-wheelie sensor is EXACTLY the same thing as the AVCS I want to make but it measure''s the angle of Z axis instead of Y axis and also moves the throtle servo/speed control insted of the steering servo. Yaw angle control is more tricky though...cause when car steers normally there''s an angular velocity detected but no sliding...and there''s my major problem. When I solve this the D box will be complete in less than 4days extra.

Unfortunately HPI doesn''t make bigger pinion than the one you mentioned...
