NismoGTR you can use this http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHLV9&P=ML Arguably the most powerful small-block engine out there.
See if you can find 1/8th tires that will fit the RS4.

That would easily push you past 70mph

Joey, I believe your car is shifting too early. This is probably why you couldn't hear it shift while driving. What you should do is tighten the shift screw about 1/4 of a turn at a time and see what happens. Or you can do it by 1/2 turns. I know that adjusting the shift point is frustrating but it will pay off when you get it to shift perfectly.

As for the mugen wheels, look at the pictures below. Also, somebody asked me about whether the 1/8 mugen rear wheels will fit the rs4. I didn't get the mounts to fit the rear so my car can only run 1/8 mugen fronts. If you want to run the rear, you must use a pulley in the front or something. You can't run all four tires, you can ony run front or rear because the wheels are not even in size causing the rear to travel further than the front per revolution. SORRY, the picture is all blurry. I don't have a camera so I used my cell phone. Didn't want to use my pop's camera. The money I saved from not buying a camera went into buying the conversion kit.

wheel comparison: RS4 and mugen 1/8 foam front

The rest of the pictures are just random:

Ok thanks guys for all your responses......I would like the car to have torque and not struggle getting to its top speed. So is 70+ to much to reach since i'm just riding in lots? BTW I heard OS engines are great but I have been reading about their bearing problems and I just do not want to have to worry about that.

their bearings are fine, and theyre great engines, just annoying to break in, like any good engine.

Yes, OS engines are good. Everybody that I know recommends them. I personally don't have experience with them. I would recommend a Fantom FR18 but they are discontinued. The only difference between the fr18 and the OS .18tz is the FR18 will rev higher. They are basically equivalent. As mentioned before in this forum, there was a dyno done on the OS .18 that pop out 2.28hp. I can't say anything about that because I believe that was the modified/ported version of the .18tz not the regular version (it is on their website). Also, keep in mind that the .18tz is turbo plug, which means you will be paying more for glow plugs. Keep on looking, you might find an engine that meets your needs. So far, .18tz is the best choice. If you go w/ the .18tz, get it from RCPlanet because it is like $20 cheaper than tower. Look at the link below. Also, take a look at the video below, you might want a .12 engine.

Hey Maoy, I bought the slide carb linkage you recommended. Have you run this in your setup yet? I just got it in the mail and was looking at how to hookit up. Your picture above is how I planned. Just wondering how it is working.

That Sirio .12 has Crazy torque! Ok guys, I understand more rpm means more speed and obviously not torque. How can I tell if an engine has torque like the Sirio .12?

mkoresh12, look at the picture below if you get confused by the instructions.

1)Take off your old linkage. Keep the brake linkage as it is, just take it off the old servo arm. It will be used again unless you want to transfer it onto the ofna one.

2)Take the new servo arm (4-sided) and attach your old brake linkage onto one side of the servo arm.

3)Take apart your old throttle linkage (keeping only the rod). Slide one of the lock w/ allen screw in first. You should slide in the rubber fuel line next (you might not need it as shown in the picture). Slide in the 5-sided thing that comes with the kit. slide on the spring. Take the ball cup and screw it on the end of your linkage.

4)The five-sided thing has a hole for a screw. You should have a small screw that comes with your kit, if not just find one that will fit this hole. Use the screw to hold the throttle linkage to the servo arm as shown in the pictures below.

5)The kit comes with 3 buttons w/ threads. Only one of them will fit on the servo gear (use the one that fit). This is the adapter for the servo arm to mount on the servo.

6)Place the servo arm on top of the threaded button. Secure the servo arm by screwing it down on the servo using the stock screw.

That should be about it. Just refer to the pictures if you get confuse because instructions suck without a person actually being there to help.

Damn, pictures are all screwed up. If you want a clear picture, just go to the link below:

Hey NismoGTR, not necessary. More rpm does not mean less torque. It depends on the engine itself. Just do some research and whatever engines you find, just look it up on google. There are all kinds of forums on rs4. .18tz is about top of the line for small block engines. If you really want power for bashing, I suggest you get a .21. Go to the link below. They list almost all the engines that you can find.

Sorry I Know that more RPM doesnt mean less torque. What I meant was I understand more RPM means more speed, yet doest mean more or less torque. I notice that most site show HP and not torque, and I guess that is what Im looking for. But i guess I need to look for engine reviews. Thanks,

Ok well I just looked up the OS Engine .18tz and the reviews are scarring me!!!! I was looking up on google rs4 3's with the os.18tz engine and it seems like it might be to much power for my rs4 3 evo... Has anyone else used this engine for their RS4 3?

Thanks maoy, I got it set up today and broke in. For you other guys that mentioned the FR18. The motor I installed is a FR15. I haven't noticed much loss in low end but since I just got it broke in I haven't gotten it to top speed yet. So far it seems to be an awesome engine. I found mine brand new on ebay for $50.
