JonKBMW, just look on google. I know UltimateHobbies.com has one on display at their store. The same red color as Gynaikas as well.

Hey anybody interested in buying an OS .18tz AB MOS STAGE 2, PM ME. The engine is shown below. Asking $235 shipped. This is the most powerful small block engine you can get. This version will smoke the EB modified version with no doubt. Just look around and you will see how much more the crankshaft and engine is modified compared to the EB modded version. Engine has 7 tanks of Odonnell 20% rtr fuel; I have not complete the break in process yet.

If you don't mind turbo plugs, get the .18tz. The .18cv-rx is a joke compared to the .18tz. The rear exhaust design of the .18tz gives it the advantage to put out more power.

The .18tz is the best engine on the market right now. Nothing else can compare especially if you get it modded. If you are going to get the .18 cv-rx, I will do you a favor. Get the Epic .18 from UltimateHobbies.com. It is not listed on their website but they have 5 in stock at their store. The Epic .18 is the same as the .18tz but it is going for $109 at ultimate hobbies because the engine is discontinued. It is also side exhaust and standard plug (fits stock exhaust pipe). It will outrun the .18tz because it revs higher for stock form and outputs the same amount of power. Look it up on the compare engine review of rcuniverse, nobody has ever given it a bad review. Easy to tune and very fast (not to mention it is on sale for $109).

Look at the articles below and you make the decision:

    EPIC .18 ($109):

OS .18tz($150-180 depending on what version you buy):

The only downside of the TZ is its SG shaft.
However, I heard that there is a way to cut it down. You might want to check in on that.

Doonagoowin, actually the os .18tz also comes in standard shaft if you get the .18tz-tx version (bolt on for rs4, does cost like $30 dollars more because it is discontinued). Sorry, didn't mean to be rude. Also, do not cut the sg shaft because even if you cut it, the threads are too fat to fit a pilot shaft. Having own one, I got to say turbo plugs last longer and are better than standard plugs. So, basically it balances out. It is always fun to try out new stuff and see how it works. I am always trying new engine to see how they compare with previous versions.

No you weren't rude at all haha. Actually I never even heard of the TZ-TX 'til now. I always want to try new things too, but I just don't have the money now haha.
I don't know why all the good things get discontinued...

Yes, the epic motor is a direct drop-in. You might have to trim the crankshaft a little but that is typical. This engine will work with your stock pipe because it is a side exhaust engine.

Hey Miami, it's been a while since I've seen you on the forum.

Actually, the engine is not overprice.

It is modded by Adam from AB MOD (Stage 2) - $110.
    OS .18tz engine - $150
    Total = $260

I only ran the engine for 7 tanks with O'Donnell 20% rtr fuel. Have not fully broken the engine in yet. It is almost brand new.

Anyways, how is your mugen ninja .28 engine in your Inferno GT? I almost bought the same engine until I found out that it was discontinued. Got a question for you, have you tried the GRP .28 tune engine? Should be just as powerful as the ninja .28 right?

they jacked up the price becuase just a few months ago the bumpstart TZ was 134 on tower i could still find it locally around that price and yea 110 for the mod sounds about right but still man 235 is way to much when dealing with used RC stuff u can usually cut UR COST on the item in half and thats usually what it will sell for if u check ebay there is the OS 21 VZB witch is a 100 times better motor and there going for about 140-160 dollars used and some looking brand new (and like everyone else lists ALMOST BRAND NEW ) no one ever has a over used motor go figure either way good luck selling it but i thought id let u know whats up ive sold and bought alot of used things over the years so i thought id share my insite

about the ninja 28 YES the discontinued it BUT mugen never made there own motors GRP was always the guys makeing the ninjas exept now ninja motors r made by OS and now GRP came out with there OWN brand of motor BUT there motors r 100% the same thing intenally as the NINJA motors so YES the new GRP 28 is just and old ninja 28............but the old ninjas look so much better the new GRP motors r ugly as hell IMO

belvie it or not with all the other cars i have and lack of time i still havent set up the ninja 28 inferno gt i still need to make a single speed convertion for it and i havent had the time so its jsut bein sitting there but i did build a ninja 28 inferno gt for a guy about a year ago and i gotta tell u that thing was SCARY FAST, im actually kinda freaked out becuase ive seen the OS 28's running on the offroad track not to long ago and there scary fast too BUT i finally got to see one a few weeks ago in a built for high speed buggy and that thing was INSAINE how fast it cought up to speed and how high it reved................if i was to buy a new motor RIGHT NOW OS 28 is what id buy man so if ur in the market for a motor u might wanna look into it

once i set up the ninja 28 inferno ill race him and ill post what i think on the inferno gt forum

BTW anyone got a caliber tool??? can some one give me the size dimensions of the RS4 3 center shaft bearings??? the ones that go to the cups???

Yes, you are probably right. I might be selling it for too much.

Yes, the ninja engines look way better. They both have the same crankcase but the ninja has a better looking head not to mention the color.

I haven't play with my inferno gt for a while. Actually, I don't have the money right now to buy rc stuff. As soon as I land a job, I will completely tune my inferno gt and rs4. I got to give that single speed a try on my IGT. Hope it works; I will probably need some help from you later on.

As far as the OS .28 goes, it looks like a pretty nice motor. I like the ninja .28 engine more than os because os looks funny. The heatsink is all fat and round while ninja starts out small at the bottom and gets bigger at the top IMO.
