    hey gynaikas, whats up!

Serpent, the reciever should be fine when running on a clean track, but you might want to think about getting the reciever boot, and mounting its on the reciever's bottom.

    What is a receiver boot?

First and foremost I received my parts from RC-Mall.net - excellent service! Here is what I've got

    Lots of stuff!

HOWEVER! I am having issues with two things. Firstly, the GPM center gear mount:

I am trying to install this part:

Onto my HPI RS4 3 EVO+, and I am having trouble doing so because of the brake. Maybe I am missing something, but if you look close the brass colored inserts go through the two brake plates, with the brake disc between. However, it seems that the brake disc is either too tight, or I am doing something wrong because I cannot get the brake disc between the two plates without the brake being on full-time.

Secondly - I got the lower arm kit too - it comes with a bunch of flat washers (very thin) that I don't know what to do with! I know the circlips hold the rods in, do the washers go between the circlips and the arms? Doesn't seem like there'd be enough room but maybe there is. I dunno - can anyone help with either of these two issues?

Also - where can I get wheel spacers from?

The spacers go between the clips so that the arm doesn't move loose at all. Generally spacers are easy to be found and not only at hobbyshops...

PS) Hi f13...it's been a long time my friend!

Gotcha - any ideas on the brake shoes? I might have to take a pic but basically it seems like my disc is too thick or something. I can't get the disc between the shoes very well.

The space between the shoes is adjusted from the 2 screws that they hold them on the transmission box.

Yes but I think that even with the screws out all the way, the disc is too thick. Looking at the old screws (stock black ones) they have a smooth unthreaded section. These new ones come with a sleeve that is unthreaded (like the screw inserts into it) but it seems that area that is smooth is too shallow to fit the 2 shoes and the disc...I'll take pics when I get home.

Gynaikas, I think you mean a hardware store. Lowe's and Home Depot can also be of assistance.

I just wanted to give an update on my OS .18tz with AB stage 2 mod. The engine is insane at revving. The torque is amazing, the power is amazing, it pushes the rs4 to max speed in no time. This is the fastest small block engine period. AB MOD is definitely worth the money.

hey all, i've been absent for quite some time from here.. but i've only recently started using my car again.

i've got an issue with the carb, it's the standard rotary carb on the T15 HPI motor.
the problem is that it seem's to be blocked. no fuel was getting from the tank through the carb, i thought it was a problem with tank but i instead got a clean piece of silicone tubing and tried to blow air through the carb. my face went read and my cheeks hurt but no air went through. i opened the carb up (full throttle), and blew again and the smallest amount of air went through.

so i'm pretty sure this is where the problem lies.. can anyone help me out?
