    Thanks for that info!

-how badly do they smell -dont laugh, can i drive it and put it on the shelw on my bedroom right away(after it has cooled down) -or is it nessessary to do something to it first?

-what fuel is best to use,20% nitro and 16% lube? -is there different prosentage while braking it in?

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/products_id/20041 + 80$shipping, is there a cheaper place? -tower costs the same. ,LHS price is 369€ (540$) -if I order from abroad, there will be 27% taxes added here, so

there is one different car that i am thinking off -a bit cheaper then rs4 too http://www.jr-hobby.com/shop/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_93&products_id=964&language=en

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..............STAY AWAY FROM CEN!!! The car is fast but it handles significantly worse than the RS4!!! And there are not so many hop ups available for it in case you ever decide to become competitive!

As for the smoke...it smells really bad...like a pair of basketball shoes after 10 games unwashed!!! Just kidding LOL In the beginning you'll find the smell a bit irritating for your throat. That smell is like magic to me! And yes 16%-25% car fuel is wat you need.

Depends on what you want. DM1 is bigger so spares cost more. RS4 is faster on track.

Yup, gynaikas is right. It all depends on what you want to do. I don't know much about the dm1 but I have a kyosho inferno gt (1/8 scale) and I love it. The body is really big and it is really fun to bash it in the parking lot because you can go really far and still be able to see the car. The power is really amazing too because it uses a big block .28 engine. However, recently I pop a .26 size engine into my small rs4 and it is way faster than my inferno gt. The inferno gt is still a lot of fun because it is really big and detailed. It does cost a considerable amount more than the rs4 and doesn't handle as well. Engine cost more, tires cost more, and other upgrades also cost more for the inferno gt. It is really what you want to do.

My recommendation to you is to get the rs4 and try it out. Since it is your first time in nitro, it will be easier to deal with. The rs4 is better all around (comparing both cars in stock form). Good luck!

Get the RS4 first...then if you need so, go bigger...2 different cars...each one has its own purpose. RS4 can't go where the IGT or DM1 goes due to ride height. But RS4 is more rapid...your choice.

Sorry that this thread is starting to look like "witch car to buy" -thread

    -the speed is 98km/h ~60mp/h stock dm-one.

-but realistically, the rs4 and dm-1 cost here 369 and 399€. (both are rtr´s)

Parts are about the same cost.(1:8 tires are cheaper)

-Here is dm-1 class on my local track, if I ever choose to race it.

-parts are available better for the dm-1, rs4 parts are more or less on "back order" in here.

-The size thing... -Bigger is better! -my 1:10 scale b/l cars are difficult to see at range. -thease 1:7 cars are 635mm long, and the scale looks are better then inferno -atleast for me it looks cooler then infernos not so scale wheelbase/width.

The Rs4 is still on my short list, I am just calculating the pros and cons.

The dm-1 is labelled ofna/hong nor/jammin depending what country it is for sale -if someone did not know.

GYNAIKAS , where do you order parts for rs4? -

So how does a RS4 compare to a Jato? I am kinda bored with the back and forth straight lines runs with it in the parking lot as well as the 100ft turning radius at speed. Ultimately I would like to get something as quick but with much better handling on the road. If the RS4 is not as quick out of the box what needs to be done to get it there.

Sorry I am sure this has all been asked before but I am not about to read 180 something pages to find it.

    Thanks

stealthbomber: Towerhobbies is FULL of RS4 parts...all the pros are for the DM-1 but like I said it's up to you!

Rex0r: RS4 handles like a train when compared to a Jato on-road!!! You're trying to compare 2 completely different things...on track RS4 would easily kill a jato...

Yup, the rs4 is a good choice. You won't regret it at all. If you have extra money to spare, and want to go crazy, you can do a big block conversion like I did. I threw in a sportwerks .26 engine into my rs4 using wolfpack radical mounts (link is listed below). I also am running 1/8 mugen front foams on my rs4. It is a lot of fun. Well, hope you enjoy your rs4 if you get it.
