I like the graphite stuff. It's almost just as stiff as the alloy stuff but it's lighter and cheaper. It is more fragile but it won't bend like some of the cheaper alloy stuff and it's pretty cheap to replace if it does brake.

yeah it is. anyway, heres a problem. when I put on the glo igniter and pull the pullstart, a whitish vapor comes from around the cooling head-no kidding. The needle valve is at 2 turns, 20% blue thunder fuel.

if it is vapor and not fuel it isnt real dagerous. when i run my car for a while i have vapor comin off the cooling head but not when i pul the pull start. maybe it is the type of glow plug u r usin.

This is for everybody with an RS4 SS. Make sure that your two speed set screw is to the right of the shaft set screw when your car is facing away from you. If the two speed set screw is to the left, then that cam is backwards. very easy to do, since HPI didn't focus on that in the manual.

Otherwise, it should shift two turns out and your motor is tuned properly.

ALmost forgot, I really don't know what the heck my HPI is.... It's a shaft driven 4wd... it has a .15 FE engine on it.. however it has two speed transmission.. and the previous owner had RS4 3 ss all over the black comaro body.. so what do I really have? gah!..

Mybe for some reason the person you bought it off of thought the 15FE was faster than the 12RSS Or maybe it was an RTR with a 2speed added and a Type SS decal sheet.
