Status: offline 		I got my 10th filight on my Tango and it will be for sale if I can't get the rudder to do rudder stuff.At low rates it will roll the plane and on high rates the rudder causes the plane to go right with left input and never acts like a rudder. In a hover it causes a roll,and do not use it on take-off or it snaps.HELP or this one is for sale.

Status: offline 		Sufficient exponential function helps with the rudder on this plane. And yes, it will roll with just the rudder alone due to the coupling. Torque steer is a lot more pronounced, even more so than the Seagull Decathlon. So you have to use more finese on takeoffs. Obviously, the controls are highly sensitive and reactive, and you have to get used to them. Once the Tango is mastered, it can be very rewarding.

Status: offline 		NorfolkSouthern is right. Exponetial on the rudder helps a great deal- however, my radio does not have ex. on the rudder so I had to get used to it the old school way. I did dial down the EPA on it so it wouldn't be so dog-gone sensitive, and that helped a great deal to tame the plane. Once I got used to it, I started giving it more a little at a time.
I would guess I have about 100 flights on mine now. I thought I was going to sell mine too,at first, but I have learned to love it and all its funky quirks. Its now my "go to" plane.
Funny that NFS had to mention the Seagull Decathalon...Mine is going on its maiden flight today.

Status: online 		I flew a Phoenix Decathlon for a couple months last year, sold it (which I still regret) and bought the Tango over the winter and am now flying it. Takeoffs are really a non-issue as mine tracks relatively well with GENTLE rudder input. I have -50% Exponential programmed in to soften the sticks at the center axis and this plane is a blast to fly.
With some altitude, play with the rudder and you will start to appreciate what this little plane is capeable of. It handles somewhat like the Decathlon only a fair bit more manouverable.
I am running an Irvine .72 2 stroke in mine with an APC 13x6 and she will power it vertical out of sight in a hurry. I am going to try a 14x4 MAS next. Most of my flying is done at 40-50% throttle however.

Status: offline 		Like sowega flyer, I had to do my rudder the old fashion way and get used to the sensitivity. I also kept the standard deflection. There is some expo in the ailerons and elevator, though. But not much, probably 35% or thereabouts. Still, it flies great and often intimidates other club members with its maneuverability. I just love having something that not everybody can drive !

Status: offline 		Unhappy with Hangar 9 and Horizon Hobbies products:
Rudder problems with the Tango does not suprise me. My experience with Horizon Hobbies and Hangar 9 models, in general, has been mostly bad. I bought a "Tango" that had the control horns pre-installed a 1/4" back from the hinge line. This same airplane came fresh out of the box with a negitive wing incident. I have had very bad luck with landing gear tearing off my (Funtana) during landings, no matter how soft and short the grass was, or how graceful the landing.

I recently bought an electric fuel pump, I figured how bad can a fuel pump be. It lasted about 4 trips to the field and quit working. I opened it up and the drive shaft was sheared in two.

There service motto is pretty much "your on your own" policy. I would suggest to anyone getting into this hobby to buy American made products if possible. I do not own any stock in any company but I have rarely have been burnt buying from Tower Hobbies. The choice is yours, my advice as a consumer and hobbist is to stay away from Horizon Hobby products especially Hangar 9 airplanes.

I am sure that not everyone will share my views and thats ok, after all they are my views based soley on my experiences.
