I have bought a Lanier 1/4 scale kit built Extra from a swap meet. It has a little fuse damage but it will be easily fixed. I am in need of anyone with experience with this plane. I saw on Lanier's web site that the CG is on the wing tube. That is all I know about this plane. How did yours fly? What was the finished weight? I am planning to buy an OS 160 FX for it although it looks as if this plane as been fitted for a gas engine of some sort. I think this plane will be nice looking after the repairs and some recovering. I have owned other 1/4 scale aerobats(Lanier Edge, B&B Extra, H9 cap, ect....) How will this plane compare?? Thanks in advance for any help!!

There you go.

I must admit I only had it up in the air twice. I was too busy trying to get it wringed out to really enjoy it and see what it can do yet. I have a Super Tiger 2300 with a 18x6 prop. The engine is still running rich so I'm sure this is why the less than stellar performance.
It came out a little over 13 lbs. I did notice the elevator was very sensative. So much so that I have to recheck the CG. I might also have to cut the throws down on the elevator...or maybe dual rates.

I think a 160 would do well up front. I had to add a little tail weight to accomadate the 2300, but not much.

I think it will be every bit as good as my 1/4 Laser, I just need time to get it adjusted is all.
