What is the difference between these models? I want to buy one but i want bang for the buck.

i am leaning towards the GF kit cuz i don't think the different materials would matter at all

I have the Tarot GF kit sitting here and it's pretty nice. Be aware that the frame and canopy will be random colors. Mine has a silver frame and blue canopy.

If you want a case, get the EXI. You aren't going to get a metal head/tail heli and case any cheaper than that.

how is the quality?

And when they say 100 percent t-rex compatible that means i can break any part on the heli and replace it with align parts?

The tarrot 450 is a nice heli. I have seen the GF version.. frame is like plastic that has CF look printed on it. its not similar with the standard GF frame. The metal parts are all okay. quality of make is really good for its price. so Its kinda good buy...

Mine is silver fiberglass, but the frames vary so who knows?

Well SKYA, Tarrot, Phoenix.. seem to all look a like. I dont see any difference in the looks nor the dimensions. All as similar to the V2 align design. Its actually best if you can get a 450 heli that you have easy access in parts. For the heli kits all seems to look a like now a days. Most of the clones kinda have all the same features sometimes it just changed in color or anodizing. But all will perform nearly close to each other.

although I have tried using a SKYA tail shaft compared to an ALign or Tarrot one. the SKYA did not last long. It might be that the material used was somewhat softer.

hey go to SNHOBBIES.com and check out the Flasher 450 I just ordered the PE which has the plastic frame but they also have a SE that is all carbon and full metal head and tail. They are based in Canada so not really far away. I order mine two night ago at 4 in the AM and he shipped it that morning soon after he opened and it should be here in six days according to FEDEX. There is a thread about them around here somewhere. I researched for about two weeks to find a real good clone and settled on this one. There is also the HK 450 from hobbycity. I should have mine by the end of next week if you want to know what its like just PM me

Mike

if you,ve ever flown the Beam Pro E-4 you wont go back to other 450,s. not knocking the align helis as i do own a trex 600 which is fantastic i must say but flying the BEAM seems like your flying something larger like a 500 size as the stability is great as so the manouverability when it comes down to hard 3D stuff. with scorpion motor power plus 60 amps of scorpion esc combined with 2500 mah 3s lipo batteries this is a machine but even wilder with the 6s lipo and the soon to come longer tail boom and main blades i would hate to think. WOW.

I would love to upgrade to a bigger heli but i am on a budget
i already have all of the electronics for a 450
and so i really only want to transfer the electronics into a new heli.

Yes, align price higer, but last longer and more precise, I own a SE V2
some clone models also good, but cheap price, I would like to try one of those clone, if there is a chance. Anyway, that save a lot of dollars
