Hobbywing 8.5t BL system with a 60A ESC sucker runs cool to the touch on a 14t pinion and can royally rip down the street and is perfectly controllable
The battery being so high doesn't really impact its COG too badly either. It will only rollover turning when going over 80% throttle on grass

wonder **** is wrong with the uploader and why its not resizing uploaded pics to thumbnail size anymore

EDIT: reuploaded the pictures so the thumbnails work properly and you don't have to scroll to see. Glad they fixed the uploader

Status: offline 		in all truth I had the battery mounted vertically on the left prior to moving it up
it flipped way easier making right turns with the battery on the left vertically than it does now. But then again mounting the battery vertically pushed its COG up already so now its higher but centered.
Only time out of the 15 mins I ran it so far (destroyed the futaba 4004 I was using as a steering servo ordered a Hightec 645mg to replace it) it flipped was when I was going full throttle and did a hard turn in grass if I go somewhere between 50-80% throttle it don't flip. Once the servo comes, and I get my other truck finished(waiting for its BL system to come) I'll be taking it to the track on a open run day to see how it preforms there.

you can see on this pic from before I moved the battery on the left what I meant about it being pretty high up and weighing down one side already. in honestly from how it was before during the 1st test the COG probably went up about an inch only and is dead center now.

over $350 prolly closer to $400-450 for a good setup
You will need a decent BL setup which is around $200 minimum $120 for Lipos (that wil get you 2 HK turnigy 5200mah 2s 30C lipos and a charger) and a conversion kit which can cost from $30 upto $90 (dunno on your model) Or you might have to fashion your own out of aluminum if there is none. Pinions are also kind of costly most are $10 a pop.
my 1/12th scale jammin would have cost me over around $180 to convert (not counting batteries) if I didn't already have a BL system laying around(it still cost me around $80 in parts). 1/8th scales are a lot more to do

also http://rc-monster.com has alot of conversion kits

This was what I did to the poor batt tray to get my TrueRC's to fit...



This is almost done with batts in place...



And heres the finished product... I'm callin it The "Lightning" rod, lol

Status: offline 		My RC8Te with a Novak HV Pro 7.5 on 4s. This system was not made for a truggy but I took out the stock 16t pinion and put in a 13t and I turned up the power output and it rips. It still gets hot if I bash with it but on the track its fine.

Status: offline 		The esc I have is the newer ones that don't have as much problems as the older ones with the purple heatsink, mine has the black heatsink. Also I have the 7.5 system so it doesn't get as hot as the other ones. I also have it gear pretty low to reduce heat.
