I got a wallyworld motorworks sub. I have new batteries in the controller and sub, turn both on, both the lights on the sub and controller lit up. BUT when i try to dive or go forward, nothing happens, no motor would turn. Anyone know what might be the problem here?

I got this as a gift, so returning it won't be an option, will have to try to fix it. thanks
