Yes. I had to move the Li-Polys a little forward to maintain CG. Work out well however. Set at that angle (which it just naturally falls into), the batteries tuck nicely under the canopy. Reducing the weight of the heli also makes the bird a little more responsive and easier to fly.

I am using one of the little cheepie chargers. I couldn't find the exact one but there are several choices available from http://www.hobby-lobby.com/chargers_lipoly.htm, http://www.b-p-p.com/apache2.htmor http://www.helihobby.com/html/batteries.html

Here is another charger to consider.
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCTZ5&P=FR
http://www.hobbico.com/chargers/hcap0290.html
It is only $50, and charges Nicad, NIMH, and LiPoly. It has two separate outputs, so will charge 2 different packs at a time. It is a field charger, so you will need a 12 or 15 volt power supply to use it at home, but most of the cheaper Lithium only chargers also need a separate power supply. I don't have one, but if I were buying one now, that is what I would get. Someone who has one may have a different opinion, but I have seen several good reports.

Jeff

Don't forget about lightflightrc for battereis and chargers

http://www.lightflightrc.com/

This is how I have mine mounted and it balances perfectly with an Acro280BB motor. Just use rubber bands to hold them. Some people use velcro. There are other ways. Most important, I found the best way to learn was to experiment.

Thanks Jeff for the info.. I ordered two 2-cell e-tech li-poly battieries and charger from helihobby.com . When I practice it is so frustrating because I only have maybe 7 minutes I need more time or I will try to rush it. Thanks again this thread has been very helpful.

Just seen a 4 cell li-poly 2 sreies, 2 parallel

8v 2400mA at the same weight of the stock battery pack.

I know part of the extra time gained from is supposedly the saving in weight, but has anyone tried one of these packs?

Thanks Gazoo. I had thought it might be a battery charge indicator. Is there any advantage over the usual wire antenna do you think?
